Majority of people are still poor in India.... now here's an interesting observation about crime:

If you read any Indian paper such as hindustantimes, timesofindia etc about crime and such.. the names of the criminals mentioned in the papers are often muslims...

So, is there a cultural/religious difference between Hindus/muslims in India that leads to disproportionate instances of crimanal activities? Very puzzling... anybody has statistics on this?

Also quite puzzling that Indians are generally quite sucessful and appreciated abroad in the U.S and Uk, but the 'pakis' often have a negative association by westerners when it comes to crime...

Simple, because most of the terrorist organizations originate from Pakistan, and the terrorists are Muslims, so that's why people associate Muslims and Pakistan with terrorists.

Oh ok, you associate muslims with terrorists? I was talking about daily crimes such as robberies, thefts etc. 😃

Nope. Don't twist my words. What I said that the world thinks of Muslims as terrorists because that 2% of the Muslim population who are radical terrorists are part of 80% of the unrest around the world. So, that's why people think that Muslims are terrorists. However, that is not true.

And where did you get this figure that 2% of the muslim population are terrorists?

I would even say that people who do not lift a finger to protect people in their own backyard are also terrorists. Kashmiri pundits were driven off, 40% of the population in pakistan (all hindus) disappeared in 1947.

While in India, there are officially 15% muslims... they were the most active supporters of a pakistan state and most stayed behind after partition...what does that tell you?

I don't see your point, are you trying to say that Muslims are bad?
