Equality in all cases?

Recently in school, we had to read this short story called "Trifels" and the story goes something like this:

The woman is being kept away from happiness by her husband, NO physical or emotional abuse involved, it's just that he's a boring guy and he murders her parrot(some bird..I don't remember), which symbolizes her happiness. The woman kills her husband in the exact way that he had killed the bird, and when she gets trialled in court, she is proved innocent ONLY because of the fact that she is a female. She gets out of the murder just like that. No punishment nothing.
Women have been suffering for years now to get equality..now my question is ..should they get equality in all cases? or just in cases such as voting, jobs, etc.
Last week, I was watching an episode of Dil Mil Gaye (don't judge😆) and in the show, Ridhimma accused Sid(doc) of raping her, when in truth he was saving her from dying. NOW the thing is..NO ONE asked Sid for his side of the story..everyone had just assumed that since he was the guy and Ridhimma was the girl, maybe she was speaking the truth.
Why does every one listen to the woman's side only? Just because we are females, doesn't mean we always speak the truth. Why do some people refuse to acknowledge the fact that everyone can make mistakes, even women? JUST because Ridhimma was a girl, they just believed her with her word..Sid's whole career could've been ruined just because of her one misunderstanding.
Even though that's a show..the things they presented were surprisingly somewhat practical. 😲
Those two incidents got me thinking..Should women be treated in EVERY case or not?
What are your opinions..any other thoughts on this?

Because in our society, women are considered as sensitive, tender women, much like they were some hundreds of years ago. However, people's perceptions haven't changed and they still believe that woman cannot lie. And some women take advantage of that mentality for there personal gain, which is indeed very sad.

It's not about the gender, ladies and gentlemen, it's about the person.

Enough said.
Btw, we'd had enough of these discussions. Check these out:

Today itself there was a report in TOI about a Supreme court judge who said that the girl's statement need not be taken as gospel in every case of rape. Laws get made for protection of the weak but somehow someone always manages to misuse it . It only goes to show that not all cases can B judged at par. One must use descretion. One cannot generalise ever !

Women are far more superior to men that's why.

If it's about the person..then why does the law take the female's side of the story first? In all cases that involve a male and female, I can guarantee you that the woman is heard first and then the male. 😕
What I don't get is..just because women in the previous generations were tender and didn't lie, doesn't mean they are still like that. Why only take their side first?
Thanks for the links! =)

It is truly sad to see that in such a modern world, women are still considered tender like those of the older generations.

I don't believe it has anything to do with superiority.😆 It's the matter of the female origins, how women are considered delicate and somewhat innocent?

Women have always been considered as being more emotional and loving than man.
When a woman shouts rape it is hard for a man to prove his innocence; so it is best not to be alone with a lady whom one is not familiar with.
By the way are you a male or a female, as you have not indicated your gender in the profile.
