Aaah recognition and fairness not to be expected in reality shows. As for the winner and prizes -
It's difficult to make a career in dance with so many takers and wannabe , just my take on it.
Every contestant should participate to learn some, have fun and time in the sun. What would back them up is education - the media needs to encourage that.
It would be worthwhile if they give away scholarships to pursue higher education in art/dance/music - doubt if they will be any takers however only the interested/deserving may wind up in the top 'x'.
I agree with ya... And as DC said, luck plays a role.... It's "being at the RIGHT PLACE at the RIGHT TIME" for getting chances and recognition... That's one reason many parents dont like their children trying to get a career in dance, and oppose it when the kids want to dance... My folks too are like that... That's one good thing about Terence's dance school as they provide scholarships for deserving and talented dancers... I think the DID show should divide the prize money into four for the top 4, with first prize being the highest and 4th being the lowest so that the contestants will feel better about themselves as well as their efforts... That's what I have seen in many regional reality shows in Kerala - they give some prize money to all the finalists in order to encourage them. The top 3 will have prizes - cash or flat or car or gold, and the rest will also get some other cash or gold prizes... It will help more people to take a positive look at the shows...
