Yes, in Chaltika Naam Antakshari and Aao Jhume Gaye.
Did you feel any change in yourself after you took part in the Indian Idol?
As a person i did not change at all but as a singer I did. Pehle agar aap mujhe gane ke liye kehte before a huge crowd mein bohot dar jata but now I can handle the stress without fear.
Tell us something about your debut album 'Tera Intezar.'
This is a romantic one, and I am sure youngsters will like it. There are eight original numbers and I am sure they will be loved by all.
Any memorable incident during the making of your first album?
During the music video shoot, I had to perform with lead lady. We had to do a fe dance steps in a disco and I had to make everyone feel thet we are in love.The problem was that since I am not a good actor I felt very awkward. However I managed finally.
Since when have you been learning music?
Since the age of eight.
As you are a celebrity, we ould like to know about your chilhood.
I was born in Nagpur and broght up in Mumbai. I was very naughty; I used to get a lot of scolding besting from my mother.
Did you have good relationship with the Indian Idol contestants?
We all devoloped a very cordial relationship with each other. It was definitely somewhat special with the top eleven. My best friends were Abhijeet Sawant, Mukesh Pancholi, Vishal Kothari and Ravinder Ravi.
How does it feel being so popular at such a young age?
It feels very good. But sometimes I do think, Itni Jaldi kyun (Why so early). I could have been also led a normal life, enjoyed ny college life as others do. They have no tension for ork but I have, and I regret it. But then I realise that this is what I always wanted. So now that I have achieved all this, I am happy with it.
What does music mean to you?
Music is the ultimate bliss. As a flower blossoms, music had blossomed within me. Music is my life. I can no think of living without it.
From the day you went to give the Indian Idol auditions till today, when you are so famous, which day would you want to label as the most memorable day?
Probably the day when I was chosen among the final eleven.
What are your forthcomong projects?
I've sung two songs in Shaadi no.1, one in Jigyasa, the ambition and one song in Kismat. There are lots of other films but their names has not been decided.
Whom do you owe your success to?
Firstly, to my audience, then to my parents and definitely to God.
Don't you think that it has beena cake-walk for some of you, when therehave been people struggling in this profession for years to make themselves be heard?
Yes, definitely! We all have been very lucky to get a platform like Indian Idol.
What is your opinion about Calcutta?
Listeners from Calcutta are very loving and it is my privilage to perform here. Especially, I'm very lucky as more than half of my votes came from Calcutta,
A message for your Calcutta fans?
I love them all. i'm here because they voted for me. I'll just say that they should love me and my music. I will serve them trough my music.
