Views on new Vidya

I persaonally feel that Prabhleen Sandhu started off very well in her role as Vidya. Later her character and expression lacked its lustre as it seemed a bit stereo typed. I do not know if it is to do with the storyline or she as an actor lost the challenge.

Now the new actor Kshitee Jog is doing well no doubt, but lacks the comfort level. She seems a bit too conscious and stiff. Probably the pressure of taking over an existing character might be heavy on her. But Vidya's character requires a lot of courage and confidence. To do justice for the character, I feel Kshitee should relax and act with more ease and conviction. Good luck Kshitee!

I would like to know about other's views.....

I feel Kshitee is too young to play the role of a 20 - 22 year old girl that is Antara.

She is a good actress no doubt on that she did full justice with her role in Betiyaan. But I can't digest her as Antara's or Abhisheks mother.

She is a really good actress and I really liked her in betiyaan. The only thing I don't like here is that she is playing mom to Abhishek.

I think Kshitee is a good actress and I enjoyed watching her a lot in "Betiyaan", but she does not suit the role of the elder Vidya in AKA. I think Prabhleen playing this role would've looked worse as we were used to seeing her as Darshan's (Aditya) wife. Imagine seeing her as his mom! Prabhleen was right to refuse continuing the role. I think they should've gone with an older actress for the part of Vidya.

ya it wazz rite decision on prabhleen'ss part to refuse ...... bcozz this leap is going to last only for a month.....n for that she wud had to play mom to grown upss..i cannot imagine prabhss playin a role double of her age....gud decision!!

Why is the leap only a month? Is the show ending? Sorry if this has been discussed but I do not keep up with the news and articles and stuff. Would appreciate any info.

well aka was suppose to end sometime in march before becuase new show in zee is coming but now it is launching at 7 PM slot so, as of now AKA is not ending, but I think post IPL it will end and zee will bring a new show as AKA's trp's are very low

I like this new Vidya because she makes the role real. I also like the first one. Her acting and character were strong. I liked the fact that she was a strong independent woman considering the society she lives in.
She was much better than the husband. She was also pretty, but should have changed her hair do once in a while. 😛😃
