Have a look at this must watch video posted on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn95ojJIY04

We are going to miss out on so much entertainment in IPL3 😡 😆 😆 😆

Modi will you pls ask Rarhukh Khan to buy at least this immensely talented cricketer as I don't think any other franchise is even gonna touch him 😆

Edited: There is an obvious sarcasm in this topic as I think there are many ways to discuss a topic. Anyway the three points I would like to add here are: first, after seeing this video , what I want to know is that are people interested in this kind of entertainment and cricketing skill as displayed openly in this video. If they do then they will surely miss out on all that in IPL3.

Second, since the so called IPL snub people have been saying what a legendary cricketer Afridi is and there has been lot of focus on his cricketing skills, but in my view the only reason IPL can invite him now is to give a lecture on "How to do ball tampering: new tricks". There have been previous cases of ball tampering due to fingernails but this was the first brazen incident where a cricketer was caught literally putting the entire ball in his mouth. Yuck 🤢

Third, he was slapped a 2 T-20 match ban which is not proportionate to the offence he committed because he seems to be a repeat offender. In 2005 he was banned for twisting his spikes and trying to change condition of pitch during a Test match in Faisalabad against England.

PS: Somebody pls tell me how to post a youtube video on forum. I tried to encode the embedded code within youtube tags but it didn't seem to work.

He's a good batsman in T20 but very unpredictable. He may play a good innings if he is set or may be out first ball. He is also a very handy bowler. So, yes, I think he should play IPL but then so should Md. Aamer, Shoaib Malik etc.

Any good cricketer playing at international level, if in form will play a good innings. We are not talking about someone's love for Pk cricketers here we are talking about entertaining skills
of Shahid *the ball tempering* Afridi. Looks like he didn't get his breakfast/lunch on that day. What do you have to say about his hunger for cricket ball so openly that he was caught right there on camera and now banned for two T20 matches. What a shameless act by the 17 yr old Pk cricketer !! 🤢

Can someone confirm if he is still 17 yrs old?😆

All right I think according to https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/debate-mansion/1331344/important-dm-update-01-31-2010

this topic/thread should fit into the below category as you have mentioned already 😊
If a celebrity/person was involved in a significant current affair then this can be discussed.

This is the first of a kind ball tampering incident unlike previous incidents. Of course without insulting a particular person we can have a general discussion on the reasons for doing it so blatantly, is the punishment handed sufficient, what about sportsmanship in all this, where are the ethics of a sportsman while doing all this etc.

He's not the first to ball/pitch tamper and he wont be the last.
Question is how severe should the punishment be to stop repeat incidents

He has been banned for 2 T20 matches, he deserves it. What was his explanation for the incident?

I would also like to see every ball tempering incident punished uniformly irrespective of the nationality of the player involved. Recently wasn't there some ball tempering incident during Eng-SA series but the player was not punished. It was Stuart Broad I think.

^^ Yeah that seems to be a problem, why do some players get punished while others get away with it?

granted what shahid did was wrong and he got punished rightfully
but this needs to be the same punishments for all teams
i am strongly annoyed at the fact how sub-continent players are targeted all the time
where as teams like Eng Aus SA get away with it
i hate the fact how Struass made such a hoha of being thot of having done ball-tampering thru broad like there whiter than white and never do wrong
it pisses me off how the ICC system works
if its a sub-continent team there guilty straight away of such an act
remember back in the days when reverse swing was introduced by wasim n waqar all the other teams made accusations of cheating
yet now its considered an art form
i ask u if it were and english player or aussie who introduced reverse swing wud it be such accussations
NO!!
and that pisses me off
the rest of the world teams think there superior to sub-continent in cricket in every way
they most certainly are not
i hope one of these days ICC grow a spine and ban rest of the world teams for similar incidents coz they do happen
instead of giving into them n brushing the issue aside all the while the sub-continent teams are made scape-goats
it makes me sick 😡
