Ahluwalias to enter kth-midday

Film actor needed

Balaji Telefilms wants a film star to play Ahluwalia's character. So far, they have spoken to Om Puri, Anant Nag and Farooque Shaikh — but things have not worked out.

The show's creative, Shipra, says, "Ahluwalia is the main guy in the new track. Initially, Kashish will feel that he is flirting dangerously with her, but will soon realise that he is not harmful as she thought. Actually, he is a lonely man, despite having a large family.

And he confides in her to the hilt.""Ahluwalia has a brother and a sister-in-law, a brother-in-law and three kids — two sons and a daughter. Later, Kashish will get linked with one of his sons," she continues.

Sujal stays

What happens to Sujal? Says Shipra, "He will remain on the show. Sujal and Kashish will keep coming face to face, but no romantic interludes between the two will take place." "We might send some of the characters from the present cast out of town," adds Kapoor.

Casting in progress

"Abhay, from Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka, will play Ahluwalia's older son, while Moshal, from Pyar Vyar and All That, will play his younger son. Siddharth from Kasamh Se plays the brother-in-law. The daughter and the remaining members of the Ahluwalia family are yet to be cast."

Twisted tale

Shipra reveals that Kashish's younger sister, Mauli (Preeti Puri) gets married to Ahluwalia's brother-in-law, and the couple is out to get Ahluwalia. He dies, and his will leaves his entire wealth to Kashish.

Kashish is about to quit her job, when she realises that the old man has been killed. The entire Ahluwalia family then becomes a suspect, including Mauli."
