Dharmesh - Too much hype?

Ok Dharmesh fans don't hate me for this please! But why is there so much hype about Dharmesh? I mean no doubt he's a great dancer...But why so much hype? Just because he teaches dance as well & is famous in Baroda? I don't see much hype about any other contestant. And all the drama on the show (Souyma, him not speaking proper English) is really getting annoying and is just added to raise the TRP. Is it just me or do others also think the same? I'm not contradicting the fact that he's a good dancer. He truly is. And I'm glad he got such a platform to show off his talent. But let's face it. He isn't the best in my opinion. Yet he's the one everyone is talking about 24/7! I don't know. I'm just getting way too annoyed. I mean other dancers are being "forgotten or overshadowed" because its all about Dharmesh. I don't know. I just feel that way. First off I was so annoyed with the way he acted during the first auditions. I mean yes we all have our favorite masters, but once you get selected RESPECT that decision and be happy that you have been selected! I'm sorry if I have offended any fans. This wasn't my intention. I just don't want other good dancers (Binny, Shakti, Tashu, etc) to not get their true recognization that they truly deserve! DID is not all about Dharmeshhhhhhh!!! But he is a great dancer! No offense intended, and I'm sorry if I sounded rude, mean, or offensive in any way. Just wanted to state my opinion!

You spoke exactly y thoughts about Dharmesh...Agreed he is a good hip hop style dancer, agreed he is a good choreographer but I too think he is way too much hyped than he shud really be...C'mon in the trio Salsa I think Kishore did much better than Dharmesh, so for me that talks about his versatality. I don't deny that he is totally not versatile but he takes longer to adapt a dance form. He is excellent in his form of dance. But then there are other dancers who are excellent in many dance forms...Shakti, Nikki, Binny are awesome...Pervez had proved his versatility..Kunwar being untrained looks very professional now, Puneet though under utilized has a lot of potential...so all the hype around Dharmesh sir is unnecessary. infact that makes him kinda lose his focus, he shud concentrate on learning new dance forms and proving his versatility then getting entangled in the Soumya and dialog delivery web...Trust me that is irritating me a lot now...

i agree with you somewhat. Truthfully i am a huge fan of Dharmesh Sir. But i feel like many people are starting to blame Dharmesh for all the attention he is gettting. now i would liek to ask you guys....

Did dharmesh try to show off or do something HIMSELF that would make you say that he himself is trying to show himself superior to other??

Zee Tv are the ones that made up the sauyma dharmesh love story right??? i dont think dharmesh made that up. so why are we blaming dharmesh???? dharmesh on the first day of auditions proved taht he is a fabulous dancer and he is here at DID platform to win just like all the other ones.

He isnt like rakhee from DID1 that is using humor to get others to vote for her and make her noticable.

also if you guys might say that most of the time the camera is on dharmesh when dada or the judges play around with him, well is it realy dharmesh who is starting all of this????

Dada is the one that asks him to speak english, dada is the one that asks him to say i love you to sauyma. it isnt his fault

the point im trying to get across is that please dont blame him, he isnt doing anything wrong. he is working hard to and learning dance.

also many of user on here said that they are tired of dharmesh bc the only things he can do are bollywood and hip hop. i have a question for them as well. did you guys see kunwar, shakti, parvez , and the others do all the others dances. lets just take shakti all i seen her do is contemporary. they do what their masters tell them to do. you guys havent seen dharmesh doing anything else bc he didnt get an opportunity to do much.

also truthfully i dont this platform cares about who is the most versatile. last year's winner salman khan wasnt versatile but he still won.

anyway these were my opinions please let me knwo what you guys think. im new here so hope nobody got offended. i want to hear what others think.

Ohhh.. don't blame cutiepie rani or others who think like that. (i love dharmesh myself!).. I mean.. i don't think they are blaming Dharmesh for anything.. its just the show. Why is he so hyped up?? We all know, ofcourse! he isn't the one to cause anything nor does he want anything of that to happen. It sooo obvious that he feels uncomfortable 'playing along' with all of them, with their jokes and what not. but i don't think, he really has a choice lol. Its like.. he is put in the spot..and he has to react to it.. right there, right then! We are not blaming him..😊 Just saying.. the attention that is given or alloted to him, should be shared amongst all other participants as well..equally. No one should be centered or 'cornered.' It just sucks when the makers do that, I dont think, Dharmesh is too excited about being, center of attention. He just goes with it.. as he has to..

I completely respect your opinion. That's why I mentioned that this thread was not intended to offend Dharmesh or any of his fans. No of course we all know that it is not his fault. I don't know about "other" people, but I am certainly not blaming Dharmesh for this "hype." I'm just rather annoyed not necessarily by Dharmesh himself, but by those that create the hype whether it be the masters, grand master, zee tv team, or his fans. We haven't seen much versitality in his dancing. But that doesn't make him a poor performer just because he isn't versatile. Yes its true we haven't seen much verstality from Shakti either. I never even said anything about him regarding his dancing! Neither did I say anything about him showing off. I never said it was his fault either, dear. But I'm tired of this hype! Its not needed. And if they feel the need to hype of Dharmesh, then why not the other contestants? I just feel that they are showing more importance to Dharmesh because he is a "sir" and is quite famous in Baroda for it. As we saw in the auditions many of the contestants were his student. Do you think he would have gotten all this hype and attention if he was not a choreographer? Probably not. Back to his versitality. He's not getting the opportunity you said? I disagree. Some contestants take the initiative themselves and tell their master that they want to do something different. Only a select few do that, but they do! So Dharmesh could easily tell his master that he wants to do something different. But don't get me wrong on what I just said. Again I'm not blaming him, so don't take it otherwise. Just stating a point! My personal opinion is that versitalilty is almost a must on this platform. I agree that this platform doesn't look much at versitality because if they had then in my opinion Jai Kumar Nair deserved to be the winner! But still versitality is a must in dance. And that's coming from a dancer herself! Anyways I hope I didn't hurt you in any way.

well i definitely think Dharmesh sir is a very good dancer...
so that's why ppl give him so much of recognition in the show...
and also after the show he is the one mostly talked about..as u mentioned.................

as u describe about the other contestants.. SHAKTI got the best performance of the day twice, along with kunwar and vandana.....

even if they are all in the bottom... im very sure Dharmesh wiil outstand all of them

You actually said everything that was in my mind! I really really think Dharmesh is a proffesionalist at dancing, but the hype about him is SO NOT FAIRR! This would actually make the audience think that 'oh he's the best dancer, that's why he's always talked about in the show,' this just simply increases his popularity. It's not that I don't want him to get the popularity or anything, but I really think they are just overdoing it.

Yeah Rahul we'll just wait & see. He's a good dancer, just not the best. And that's only my opinion! =]
