ya i def agree...theres a possibility he may have given the chance to either debu or vinit if they had lost but i think after hemus mindblowing (ok thats scary i sound like HR 🤢 ) performace, he made up his mind completely to give him an opportunity

Hemu is the best and was the best. Vinit and Debo are very good but in comparison to Hemu are a tad inferior.

Vinit's voice has not achieved full maturity as yet. In a few years' time he would be fine. Debo has a very good voice but not as original as that of Hemu's. All these boys are from India and I love them all for their impeccable singing talent. Mark my words. Hemu would attain the heights of Balasubramaniam and Hariharan and beyond whereas Vinit and Debo would remain mediocre singers in due course of time. Hemu's training began when he was five. You could see it clearly if one listens to the contenstants with a musical ear. Ismail knows it and so does HR.

Subhashji would not have given the same opportunity to either Vinit or Debo if either of them were to loose in place of Hemu. When someone of his status vows in presence of millions of listeners it can not be considered as a mere hogwash. Subhash is well known for identifying and exploring young and fresh talent. He has done it in the past, continue to do it now and also in future. Hemu would be even AR Rehman's delight.
