family and then he was forced to concede his statements in front of his dad..but it was a difficult submission..you could see his struggle not to do it almost..I guess with leher telling him off ..his love story has hardly taken off which is why he was still quiet in front of his dad.but come the day when leher reciprocates..it would be a different Abeer..a little aside..what Dadi did was totally unacceptable but the way Leher threw it in front of her face..was absolutely great...a big slap in the face..WOW..a little something..I hate when Abeer is sooo kinda smitten by Leher..she seems like his mom sometimes..C mon Abber stick up on your own..you can do it..from daddy's boy..don't become another Mr Mathur..
Hello, hello Zains! 🤗
Thanks so much for your response. absolutely, you could see Abeer's instinctive disapproval and disappointment with his community's behaviour - he feels let down by them, he feels ashamed of their stance. Even if his father, his daadi, the Shuklas cannot see in what poor light their prejudices and their superiority complex shows them in, Abeer can see exactly what they're coming across as.
When TN was rude to Mathur, Abeer was mortified. That a neighbour, a respectable, friendly man should receive such a snub from his father made him very uncomfortable. But it was still a small matter then and Abeer was able to put it down to personalities. His father was an unbending man and already the two families had had bad blood between them.
But now, seeing how appallingly the Shuklas are behaving, seeing his Dadi scold a girl she has no business chiding, for a reason that is so stupid.. well Abeer is becoming critical of his family. TN and Dadi are going to have a tough time ahead, methinks.
What you said about Abeer being smitten by Lehar... well, yes, I see what you mean, but you know that's the way it is many times. Guys are always kinda younger than girls their own age. Abeer is a little childish and Lehar is more mature than him. But that is just the surface. The way Lehar leaned into him on the terrace that day tells us what's in her heart - she's attracted to him, she was interested in him from the first time they met. And Abeer in spite of his chichora behaviour has all the makings of a mature young man. He will come into his own, he will hold his own against Lehar as well.
After all Lehar has to become convinced that Abeer is worth ALL the fight, tension and struggle they will have to go through 😳 That's the character arc I'm looking forward to 😳 😍
