Anu's matter i hope she will not let down him and take his side...if she does not..abhi has to find a girl who knows about his worth...

i understand she is having difficulties..but she has to give her priority to Abhi...

So, are you not Indian? (see the underlined stmtfrom your post) Then you have done a great job of understanding the show and writing your frustrations.

It looks to me, you are ranting bringing in Simi's mom's and Neetu's issues and you are not just talking about Simi being 'ungrateful' to Abhi(The title ofyour post).

Now, here are my answers:

Simi-Manju : Though Manju is behaving in totally irrational way, Simi is still doing things that Manju wants bcos she wants her mom to be happy too. For her, Manju is her mom. Everyone loves their moms. Mom's are called the 'griha-laxmi' of a house. If a mom is not happy in a house, nobody will be happy in the household. So, eventhough Manju is throwing tantrums, Simi wants Manju to be happy and hence doing what Manju wants.

Simi-Neetu : It is Neetu's bad luck that Vicky doesn't respond to Simi on phone and also doesn't meet with her when she asks him to. Bcos of this Simi thinks that Vicky is not willing to take responsibility for Neetu's condition and she wants to save her family's honor before its too late and thinks the only solution is to get abortion for Neetu. Whereas Neetu belives Vicky is good and would take her responsibility. Now, since Neetu and Simi want two opposite things, definitely there would be clash and Neetu thinks that Simi wants to kill her baby so she is being protective of herself and taunting Simi.
Simi-Abhi: For Simi, her house happiness takes priority over Abhi and her own happiness. Bcos of that whenever she is at a point where she has to choose either one, she is choosing her responsibility over Abhi. Abhi has told several times he would support her no matter what, so she should listen to him and choose him for once and then they two together can solve all her problems. She is not doing that and that is where according to me she is going wrong and the way she belittles Abhi in front of her family was totally ridiculous whatever her reasons are.
Simi knows that no matter what Abhi will be with her. That confidence should not shake, ever. Now, on Monday if Simi doesn't believe him, she is definitely going to do a major wrong thing in her life. At that time, she will really really become totaly ungrateful towards Abhi.

You are right. Unfortunately, among the masses in India, this is seen as true love for a woman. Sacrificing yourself regardless of how she treats you. I don't know why they cannot Simi appreciate what Abhi has done for her. She's never once said anything of the kind and we will never hear it. We did get a glimpse when she cried because she believed Abhi had left her. When Anu comes in the picture, I doubt she will believe Abhi and she will get upset with him. She won't even pay attention as to how pretty or cute she looks and how old and frumpy she looks compared to her. She won't even question why does Abhi like me over her?
