It this Right?

I am not sure if I am allowed to start a new topic. If not, feel free to remove my post. But I do strongly feel this topic needs to be debated.

Is it right to take kids away from school/college and get them married just because he/she admitted to be in love with soemone?

I do not understand the logic of marrying kids while they are still in college? If were the parent, I would have stopped all these drama and asked them both to complete their eduction, get their degrees, find a career and put the love affair on the shelf until then. I would very sternly warn them to be in their limits until they are done with schooling. If they do not want to listen, separate them until they are adults and then let them make their own decisions. How can parents impose their wills on their children. True we sacrifice and compromise all our life for our children, go through all sort of hardships but did we not do that out of love for our children and to give them the right upbringing and prepare them for the future? By denying them their wishes now, the parents are challenging their own values. I have two teenage kids and I dread the moment when anyone of them would come home with someone in tow. Best thing is to give them the right values and teach them to take most mature decisions and then guide them to the right path.

I lost my mom when I was 14 and was brought up by my dad and maternal grandmother. Luckily for me, my father not only became my friend but also my guardian and guiding force in life. He taught me to make sound, independant decisions and inaculcated the best values in life. I do not recall my father ever imposing his wishes on me. Instead he let me start my own business after I got my degree and encouraged to me to stand on my own feet.

I see all these Hindi serials and wonder how true these values are that they are talking about? Entertainment is one thing, but isn't all these corrupting the young minds? Specially those Ekta K. Serials which is full of marraige/divorse/remarraige/ marry a man then his brother then his friend then marry the man again. Huh!

Any thoughts?
