Well taking inspiration from today's epi, would like to share a few thoughts...
YuNa for me have always been about HOPE. đ
The whole YuNa dynamics before the revenge track upheaval was all about how Naina falls for Yuvi hard and Yuvi fighting hard against his feelings for Naina.
In that phase, Yuvi was someone who came from Naina's dreams đ She had made this whole fairytale out of Yuvi, M n B style and when she looked at Yuvi, she looked at not just a man but her fairytale romance. He encompassed her hope that she would get the guy of her dreams. He never promised her much nor did he ever take the first step usually and he was always so rude and sarcastic to her and yet there was something about him that she couldn't help liking.
Whether it was the way he always silently helped people in distress (the saree burning scene) or his innate sensitivity which Naina could sense somehow despite his boorish behaviour with her. Even if she was hatching dreams about him, she could still appreciate Yuvi's innate goodness beneath the cold facade despite her LaLa-land wanderings. I'll give her brownie points for her perceptive skills for sensing the gem beneath the rock. Go Nancy!
And it was because of this sincerity in Yuvi that she just saw all the good points and managed to obliterate all the bad ones. She craved for that kind of man. She hoped for the person who would be caring and sensitive and would just be there to silently ease her troubles away. If she dreamed and hoped for such things from Yuvi, it was because he did, unknowingly, unwillingly, provide her with a solid base upon which to build all her dreams and hopes.
Coming to Yuvi, it i easy to see how the theme of hope fits in with him. If Naina made so many dreams about Yuvi, then she showed so many more to Yuvi too! Naina brought in the unwanted but much-needed sunshine into Yuvi's life. Everything about her, from her attitude towards life to her responses to the most inane of things drew Yuvi in slowly.
Her beauty was ofcourse present and he did get a bit dazzled by that but he could easily ignore it. The first bike scene of YuNa, anyone? Then her smiles and grins and her getting excited about every single thing made him smile at her childishness. Their regular encounters and his growing attraction for her not just because of her beauty but also because of all their back and forth repartee s to each other hooked him more and more to her.
Then there was also the times when Naina could just be so sensitive to him and talk to gently about his past and his relative from the mental hospital. When she tells him 'I care, I do'. And Yuvi is almost ready to cry. She touched a deep spot within him then and she brought out all of his emotions to the surface which I guess no one had managed to do before (except for his bro).
Also the fact that someone like her was so interested and attracted to him boosted his ego (which needed a boost after all the loneliness of his childhood) and gave him hope that someone could like him too. Then with him realizing he could use her to reach shankypanks and him trying to woo her so hard, brought him closer to her innocence.
The drunk Naina phase was the IT for Yuvi I felt. It was when he saw Naina at her most innocent and that night he didn't even care if he fell for her hard He was in a dream of his own with his sleeping beauty (Dangelz deserves a round of applause for this sig yaar):
Then with Naina's confession there was a realization for Yuvi too though he suppressed it because of his revenge funda. During her confession and her hug, he felt IT bigtime and he was touched just like before and he was pretty emo when she hugs him. The guilt factor also set in.
Cut to after the revelation of the revenge track, Yuvi has now realized he needs sunshine in his life, a lot of it. And he has realized who is his sunshine. This realization itself has made yuvi a happier and sun-shinier person. Today's BB scenes and the window scenes were a testament to that.
He may try to show tat he finds her nautanki antics childish but even in his retorts to her nautanki-ness there is an affectionate fondness. The way his eyebrows shoot up and that look of mischief sparkles in his eyes when she says something naughty and nautanki, is just so awesome to see!
Right now, Yuvi is daring to hope again. :)
