Honestly, AISI bhi Moms hoti hain??? Does she not EVER think about Mahi's feelings for even a second??? THAT was the guy she picked for her own daughter?? And on top of that Anjali saying, 'who will ever manage to love you'?? 🤢🤢 Seriously pathetic sister🤢

Agar aisi 'loving' family ho toh dushmanon ki kya zaroorat hai? šŸ˜• šŸ˜† šŸ˜†

If not for her father and her Daadi, I think Mahi would have run away from this house a long time ago šŸ˜† šŸ˜† ....atleast a FEW ppl in the family GENUINELY care about her....Loved her scene with her daadi :-)

GOSH! He mother was horrible! What sort of mother was she?! And she says she was just doing it for Mahi's best. Mahi's best my foot!
And her sister is really disgusting me. Just because Mahi said she'll get those clothes from the designer she was ready to listen to Mahi. And only when Anjali was getting those clothes did Mahi's mom listen to Mahi for the 6 month challenge.

Basically every epi proves more and more that there are no redeeming qualities in these two women....totally black characters who are shockingly blind to the feelings of their own flesh and blood :S

Blehhh these two are sirf naam ke Mahi's 'family'. I was so disgusted when Mahi's mom tells her that she has no shakal or akal!!!! 🤢 What kind of a mom says that to her child? I mean my mom always picks up when I gain even a pound of weight and tana maroes to me about it. And me and my mom never agree on anything. But she would never make me feel worthless!
I get Mahi's mom's un-acceptance of her outside appearnce as not fitting to society's definition of attractive. But to say that she has no shakal is just plain mean!! And it's def. not true that she has no brains.
It would be fine if Mahi's mom told her to loose weight for health reasons, but to not acknowledge the qualities Mahi does have is just disgusting. And what kind of a mother would want her child married to that kind of a family?
Mahi's mom and her sister are two of the most sickening characters in this show. Family ke naam pe dhabba. 🤢🤢

Believe it or not... There are such parents in the world. I have seen such mother and sister before.. it's not exactly like every parent cares for their children's feelings... They put their own wishes and exceptions before the child's feelings and dreams....

About Mahi's mother... Well she might really care for Mahi even a teeny tiny bit, She might... I felt that way from the scene where Mahi tells her Mum she will find someone for herself. But yea, I dunno, She is one of those parents who expect REALLY high for their children, Like some parents want their children to be doctors because their whole family is filled with doctors... They don't care if the child wants or has an interest to be a doctor or not.
The exceptions are REALLY high from such parents especially more so if the child, like Mahi, has a elder sister who has their life set already so her mother had expected already that Mahi would become just like her elder sister.
I say this because I'm kinda in the same position, I have many people's exceptions on me... Some of it because my own sister is SO smart and is going to be a doctor and all... So most of my family expect me to be a doctor too..

So all in all, All parents expect their child to be something especially Indian parents... Since most of the indian parents will openly express their disappointment if their child isn't the "Best" or something.
Some are like Mahi's mother and her sister.
There are only few who express their disappointment in a mild way not hurting the child's feelings but still showing their disappointment.
And even fewer who understand and don't put much pressure on their child.

Agree to Nureat. I dont think its right to show such mean people around Mahi. I mean, for a parent her child would be d best ! Or is Mahi an adopted child ?

I agree with you...I just don't understand her mother...how can she be so horrible to her own daughter...
It was such a painful moment at the dining table...It was so touching...I had almost tears in my eyes for Mahi...she was so hurted by her mother words...Really she must be very pround of her Mahi...even than everyone is so mean to her she is such a strong girl !!!
and than her sister...she is just brainless...she is only thinking about herself...what kind of sister are you...A big sister must be example for her younger sister...but choro...jaise mom waise beti...Thanks God Mahi is just herself !!!

Some parents are really that nasty. I once complimented my friend on how nice she looked and she was so happy. She then basically told me that before she left the house her parents told her she looked like a man wearing women's clothes.

I was so shocked parents could be so mean.

i know moms like that so it's not a huge surprise but i still wanna ring her neck for her selfishness. when mahi yelled at her during that dinner scene, i was in tears. the way her mom hurt her was quite visible. i love that her dadi and aunt are on her side though. at least she has someone. P.S. her dad needs to grow a backbone and handle his wife.
