Hello Guys!
I am a new member..
well was just wondering abt this concept of cute guy VS angry young man.
Its common in many daily soaps DMG one of the shows who portray the rivalry the best!

Mods if this topic is not allowed please do remove this.

Well i thought how abt a healthy discussion?
Well we all know the cute boy of DMG is Sid and the angry young man is Yuvi

No the thread is not about SID VS YUVI..read on😊

I have simply loved this forum..i have been a reader since long..!
And i have always found a mixture, a perfect blend of fans..the forum is not biased in any way with equal fans and equal importance to every character/ couple.
Truly one of the reasons why IF is the biggest entertainment portal! 👏
Though i have been on many forums or communities where there is a tide towards one couple or character.
It so happens that fans of a show get sidelined to supporting their favs leaving the rest.
A sense of rivalry creates among the fan to no matter what, support their favs..
IF balances this very well...e.g. A thread on accepting the changes and a thread opening various petitions.

Anyways coming to the topic.
Cute boy and angry young man both are my fav.(m not talking only abt sid n yuvi m considering all characters in the TV industry tht fit the category and share rivalry)
But often criticism is showered and a rush of hatred develops towards the cute boy or vice-versa.
are the opinions based on personal life experiences?
Why is a cute-boy associated with being immature?
why is an angry young man called insensitive?
why in totality are masses judged coz of the actions of a few?
Many biased views exist as such...looks arent everything or egoistic jerk or air-headed or stuff like tht.
Its clear that looks arent the only important thing but we cant deny that its nothing either. 😉
So this thread revolves around discussing.
You like the cute boy or the angry young man or even better you like both.
If you dont like any one of them then why? is it based on your already made notions or is it an inner battle you are having to support you fav?
If so free advice(i loved the movie 3 idiots:) )support ur fav but others too:)

Please do remember while discussions that this thread is not abt sid and yuvi they are just an example am considering the masses.😊

Hey princess, nice post...my response to this...a lot of factors affect this choice..

First ur age..yup if u are at a cute teenager age..u would go for the cutey pie guy..

Add a bit of maturity and the angry young man will also start appealing..

My experience..a man should have shades of both...no human should always be obsessed with only one emotion and one side of life...life has various shades and a man is not a complete man if he is not open to experience all that life throws at him..laughter or anger, love or disappointment...

Also personal experiences will always color a persons choice ...no doubts about that..

And most important...availability..meaning what are u surrounded by ..sometimes proximity is dangerous too

In short 2 many factors..but nice post once again

i prefer chocolatie hunks!! i usually tend to go with cute boyish image but there was just once when i did fall for angry young man (i.e. my id name Kai Hiwatari😳) I think it's more to do with how the character is sketched out , how well it is potrayed by the actor and finally how does it get executed!!

If i love Sid today it's mostly because of KW than the character traits of Sid and i might have fallen for Yuvi if a different actor played the role!😕

yes they can be but for me it's mostly how appealing is the character and story is.

more than immaturity it's the painting the cute boy's character in white and angry guy's in black wht irritates me the most! For me there is a hero and villain in every person, no1 is perfect everybody learns from their mistakes and wise1's from other's mistakes!
why is an angry young man called insensitive?
just to bring in the contrast! the angry guy is potrayed to have problems complicated problems, he has always done terrible mistakes and everyboday misunderstands him!!! He is always complicated and tends to be cold!!

Thank God in DMG atleast there is some difference!!

Creatives always go for tried and tested formulas, they never want to experiment !!! 😡

hate to admit it!! but they do play a major role in our day to day life and it's even more important in entertainment industry!! u have to look prefect, be shining like a star... standing out from the rest so that ppl can look upto u! If u look just like a commoner y wud lay people look up to u?? u r not different from them!!!

Beautifully put forth but sadly true. Yes, characters are stereotyped and such is the flaw of human nature that a rough countenance easily scares a person OR rather a person backs off from knowing more about a person who is a bit angry, young man type.

Some do not have the courage to bear their initial brunt and then get them to open up, some are just NOT INTERESTED to spend their time and energy in knowing someone who shies away from correspondence, and so almost no one understands that the reason behind an aggresive and angry attitude might be a defence against a sorely brusied and bleeding heart!!!!

Contrary to popular belief, a seemingly jovial and warm person might in fact be covering his real face with a facade of make-believe amiability. A person might be warm and cordial and a perfect host but inside he might a completely differnt person. Like a dual personality aka "A Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde" thing.

So, there is actually no set norms which help us determine whether an aggressive or short-tempered person is good at heart or is true to his countenance OR an amiable person is truly so or just a pretender.

All, I can say is that experience is the best teacher. That is how a truly rational person identifies others and their character traits!!

But all of this is related to real life! So in reel life people just become partial to the cute, jovial types rather than the dark, brooding ones. Not much analysation is done about reel life characters.

I do agree that the KW plays Sid is excellent, because i really wasnt a KW fan when i saw him in Remix but any guy playing this kind of role like Sid needs not too go OTT and that doesnt work well, whilst KW plays it perfectly IMO

Intense characters are interesings, coz there is alot of way you can take them, they are complex etc

dear its true personal experiences color the person's choice...but its not only abt choice i also want to highlight the point that if one prefers the angry young man then why do they have a hatred or a form of negligence towards the cute guy.
I mean isnt it wrong to judge others on the basis of a few. as kai states its human nature....but its wrong and wat is wrong should be changed thats what i feel...If a person can have an open mind and not judge everyone on the basis of a few wont it be great?
I mean if a cute guy ditched you it doesnt mean all cute guys are bas***ds does it?
thts a point i wanted to highlight ...wats the rivalry about among the fans....ofcoz a cute boy and an angry young man will share rivalry as they are complete opposites...thts quite natural and plus audience loves tht concept.

nice reply..though i disagree on a few points yet evry1 have their own opinions and i have respect for urs too:)
just coz the few individuals who have done wrong stand out doesnt mean evry1 is the same....a person cannot be judged on the actions of a few...examples in real life can be - just like every indian cannot be judged as corrupted just coz there are many in the population..just like (m touchin quite controversial topics...)just like every muslim cannot be said to be a terrorist....ermm yeah.
similarly every cute guy cannot be judged to be a dork or an airheaded amateur.
or every angry young man cannot be judged as insensitive or mature for that matter.

You are right a person cannot be judged easily experiences teaches one. About reel life..well there are many contrasts...i mean lets say Edward fans, jasper fans, Yuvraaj fans, mayank fans, samrat fans. that's rather judged by personal tastes and preferences so there's no bend to jovial and warm person.Everyone has the right to choose, But my point lies in the fact tht if u like the cute guy do u hate the angry young man? or vice-versa.

In forums there is always a fight to support your fav.
So my question actually here means that are you refraining yourself from expressing a view coz you actually are a greater fan of the other couple.
Rather are you bound to stick to your couple...coz this happened with me in one of the forums and then i realised a place where i cant freely express myself is just not worth my time.
I mean at a stage you are realised by other fans that ""glad u liked it and are appreciating the couple..etc etc""wats that?
it isnt as if a fan of a respective couple say for e.g. YuvNa fan doesnot appreciate sidma on purpose they appreciate when they like it..but some dont...the fact tht comes here is abt already given your word.
It is very difficult to accept a change in one's preferences.
This entire e.g. highlights one thing the desperation of a fan to make their favs stand out which some do by going to no limits!

Am glad with the response i got..and tht this discussion is acceptable in the forum.
I dont mean to target any respective fan or person/member by this discussion its just a common discussion abt fan's views, their preferences and their actions.
