During the fifth Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards night Imtiaz Ali walked away with five honors for his Love Aaj Kal — a love story between two generations, including an award for the best story.
In Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi — story of a devoted husband undergoing a makeover to woo his wife — Shah Rukh Khan walked away with the best actor award and Priyanka Chopra for the best actress in Kamiyeh for her Marathi act.
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi also won awards for best choreography (Shimak Dawar), best lyrics (Jaideep Sahani, and best female singer (Shreya Ghosal).
Ghanini starring Aamir Khan which hit the box collection office, won awards for best film, best director, best screenplay (A,R. Murugadoss) and best editing (Anthony).
Love... won honors for best costume design by Anita Shroff Adajania and Dolly Ahluwalia Tiwari, Pritam for best music, Mohit Chauhan for best male singer, Imtiaz Ali for best story and best actor in supporting role.
