It's not even been a month that Star One launched comedy show Laughter Ke Phatke and we hear the show produced by Optimystix is all set to go off-air in the third week of this month. The show initially had Jennifer Winget and Sudesh Lahiri hosting it with many stand-up comedians and actors participating. The show had three celebrity judges every episode.
But since the show was doing no good for the channel and the producers, the makers decided to have Mona Singh and comedian Kapil Sharma as permanent judges as getting three celebrity judges on the show every day was proving to be a costly affair. Sudesh was busy with his other commitments and so decided to bow out of the show due to constant date problems. So it's been left to Jennifer who has been hosting it since last week. Also, it is believed that the jokes were hardly funny and more often bordered on the indecent kind.
A source informs, "Yes, Laughter Ke Phatke will end soon and though the date is not yet decided it will be sometime in the third week of this month. The producers tried to spruce it up and expected it to be as popular as their other show,Comedy Circus-Teen Ka Tadka. Many times the shooting of Comedy Circus- Teen Ka Tadka got postponed because the makers were busy with their newly-launched show. But the show just did not pick up and now the channel has decided to pull it off."
An actor requesting anonymity said, "Yes even I have heard that the show will end soon but we are waiting for the official announcement".
While Barkha Bisht another participant said, "I have no idea about this."
All our attempts to reach the producers, Vipul D Shah and Sanjiv Sharma were in vain.
