Bauji's mistake...in my opinion...he made the biggest mistake in this case... agree what MN did was wrong while climbing that ladder... but punishing your daughter for a mistake by forcing her to marry someone is wrong... it's parents job to correct their children's mistake, make them understand, guide them and give them their support... they need to have faith in their upbringing.... but here Bauji is not listening to his own daughter's side of story...
Mayank's mistake... GOD.. it was a nightmare that became a reality for me to see it.... but soon I realized he did it out of impulse... because he was desperate to see Nupur... desperate to comfort her and to assure here that he'll do anything for their love... but the route he took to do that was wrong... he soon realized his mistake... and repented his decision to do that... this is what makes Mayank...the Mayank that we love and adore... a person who learn from his mistakes.. a person who has a parent in his life to guide him what's wrong and what's right...
Nupur's mistake... running away... this is the mistake she'll feel guilty for lifetime... but it's a situational mistake... she absolutely has no resort left... her only parent is not ready to listen to her.. how many times she has said in the past that she doesn't want to get married and wants to study... but the parents are forcing a marriage on her... and that too without considering her liking or agreeing... the groom is already in the house with a ring and with few hours left in her hand, there is absolutely no one that can help her get out this situation... but she is a fighter... who acts on impules...she wouldn't bend in this situation... the only person that can help her...that's her father... turned his back on her... whom does she trusts next after her father?... Mayank... she compared Mayank to her father... she absolutely has blind faith and trust in him... she knows he can take away her fears and give her confidence... he is her guide, best friend and companion... so why wouldn't she go to him?
MN love and understanding..... as Divya said is correctly.. this is the perfectly flawed couple... they compliment each other in every way... they have absolutely opposing personalities and views... but they also have a way to understand each other and overcome their differences.... both listen to each other... and that makes them perfect couple... that understanding we saw today... Mayank loves her to death... he hugged her, wiped her tears off and kissed her on forehead... gave her assurance that he's there for her.. she was scared... not ready to listen... but his assurance calmed her down... and then slowly he talked her about the mistake... made her realize that their actions have caused Bauji pain and shattered his dreams about his daughter's marriage... he is the person of intergrity and confidence... the confidence that every girl is looking for in her boyfriend... he has the respect that every parent looks for in their child... he is man of substance... and that's the sole reason Nupur came to him... she understood his POV and agreed about her mistake... she got the assurance she needed ...that he's going to marry her with elder's blessings.... this is called a imperfectly perfect relationship... handling each other in tough situations... guiding each other... being there for each other...
Lastly...about the performances... RP was brilliant as always... 👏
but it was AB who stole the scene... his each and every expression was perfect... Mayank's each and every gesture... the hugs, holding hand, wiping tears, kissing forhead and lastly teasing her on DDLJ thing.. all were perfectly emoted by AB... 👏
