Chetan Deserved an openning credit, its all his story, who gonna see it at the end , i didnt see unless i saw the pic of credit posted by chetan on twitter....before i thought they didnt give him Credit at all .....

This shows how badly writers are treated in our industry.

Expected some one Hirani atleast to show some humility.

Even the script of TZP was an almost snatched product....wasnt there sumone who said it was his script and he was to direct it !!

The film IS VERY MUCH copied from the book !! Not just loosely inspired !!

And why exactly should Aamir be blamed for this? its not his movie, he is just acting in 3I.

With regards to TZP Im with Aamir on that again. When he didnt like Amole Gupte's output he gave Amole the option of taking the script elsewhere. But Amole decided to stay put & aamir deecided to direct the movie. Through out the promotions he gave Amole all the necessary credit for the movie.

Mind you some of the other Bollywood stars are infamous of replacing directors, actress without even informing them.

that's stupid if they didn't credit the author, these actors and directors need to know , without the story, book..there won't be 3 Idiots!! and like some of u said, this show how poorly writers are treated in our industry, especially compare to hollywood. In there, they give writers; highest regards. They start crediting authors from first promo. Just look at Twilight, they treated Stephenie Meyer as one of the starcast. I remember Rob patterson saying "Without Stephanie, there wouldnt' be any of this" Now that's how it should be.

why would chetan do this for fame? its his book after all...like you guys said, there wont be the movie 3 idiot if his book wasnt there. anyone would be hurt if they are not given credit for their work....

I feel the author shud have been given the credit no matter how much the script was changed .

90 % of the book is based on the film, Cheten should have gotten cridit for his work. I am ashamed of Aamir aswell, how is it a publicity stunt. I wonder how would amir would if TZP became a US novel and was NYC best seller. Bollywood will never change they do this with American films as well

In my opinion...Chetan should have been in the opening credits and 3I wouldn't have been same if 5PS wasn't made!!!!
