Amitabh to get (yet another) lifetime award
Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan is set to receive the Lifetime Achievement award at the Apsara Awards 2009 that will also see Shah Rukh Khan performing at an awards function after two years. The star-studded event will see Bollywood's hot couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor enthrall the audiences with their moves as Viveik Oberoi, Arshad Warsi and Vidya Balan will also set the stage on fire. Apsara Film and Television Producers' Guild is set to honor the exemplary performers of Indian cinema in 2009 on Jan 8 (2010), as Love Aaj Kal, Kaminey, Ghajini, Wake up Sid lead the list of nominations.
The Guild Jury members (Film) include Ravi Chopra, Ashok Thakeria, John Mathew Mathan, Ketan Desai, Ketan Mehta, Uday Singh, Vinod Pande, Praveen Nischol, Govind Nihalani, Jahnu Barua, Kallpana G. Lajmi, Prem Sagar, Suneel Darshan, Umesh Mehra and Sajid Nadiadwala, who along with the auditors are a part of the selection process.
