oh its nothing. there r so less people who live in india and mostly people r NRI or middle east or other countries. so i find many opinions and favs actors and actresses which r not really fav of people living in india. like i dont hear many people saying that we like this actress and we dont like that actress which i read on IF.

ok i will give this example now. i dont find many fans of kat on IF, but if u go to orkut communities u will see she has amount of fans only next to SRK and shahid which is preety flattering for an actress to leave behind people like hrithik, salman, aamir etc. but on IF i always find people bashing her.
next thing would be that people here know a lot of religion and religious books which is not so in india (not comman i mean). people actually dont have time for pooja paath now a days. all r running in india.

That is very true. Leave alone other religions, often I note that folks don't have much idea about regional life style differences as well in India. Once one moves aboroad, they are exposed to many different nationalities and Indians from different regions than their own. That gives one a first hand exposure to cultures and nationalities different than theirs.

@ angelic_devil: oh okay, I see what you mean. People who live abroad have different cultural experiences, even if they think they're maintaining the same Indian culture. Culture's always changing, and even media, entertainment, and all those things change too. I guess it's expected.

@ gauri: true, you're right to an extent. But diaspora Indians also tend to get homogenized a lot in their respective countries, or they homogenize themselves, whereas Indians in India are aware that they are not just Indian but have lots of other cultural/regional differences. It can go both ways.
