It's a happy new year for Colors

Campaign India Team, 06 January, 2010

Mumbai

Colors, which completed 2009 in the number one slot, began 2010 in the same position, clocking 336 GRPs (Week 1, HSM, CS4+, TAM) despite improved showing by both STAR Plus (298 GRPs) and Zee (284 GRPs).

Sony improved as well, notching up 180 GRPs with NDTV Imagine slipping to 86 GRPs -- and being threatened by SAB's jump to 85 GRPs.

wow top three have done really good. and this includes all that new year programming etc, so let's see what next week has in store for us.
and zee at 284, that's the highest it has been in a looong time.

and sony, I was expecting it do better at least somewhat😆. It had telly awards, and 2 days of yrf shows, yet it only up by 9 grp's. guess yrf couldn't do much.

i found this article which says star got 289

The first Indian viewership data for 2010 is out and it shows Colors start the year just like it ended 2009, on top!

According to TAM data for Week 1, HSM, CS4+, Colors clocked up 336 GRPs, well ahead of an improved STAR Plus (289 GRPs) and ZEE TV (284 GRPs).

Sony Entertainment Television Asia stayed fourth with its new line-up of Yash Raj TV shows. However, it had a slight increase in its ratings to 180 GRPs. Surprisingly, NDTV Imagine was the only one to go down the ladder by slipping to 86 GRPs.

There was good news for Multi Screen Media's light-entertainment channel, SAB TV, which is threatening NDTV Imagine's fifth position. This week there was only a difference of 1 GRP, if SAB TV overtakes NDTV Imagine next week then the channel will be seen as the fifth entertainment channel in India. SAB TV grabbed 85 GRPs.

Dirty little secret. Media 24/7 takes what our musicians call inspiration from other articles. Only they got the numbers wrong by interchanging 8 and 9.

well let me right now
"lagta hai tv ka rang toh laal hua nahin, par yrf aur sony ka bank balance zaroor laal ho gaya hoga"😆
