Lord Shiv (to Sri Ganesh) - Your arrangement worked, son. But you must not forget that a woman has been insulted. It is not proper for a son to curse his mother.
Parvati - The biggest culprit is devraj Indra. He must realize his mistakes.
Ganesh - Do not worry, mother. Maharshi Vakchanavi has cursed him.
Parvati - That is not enough. I will myself meet him.
Lord Shiv tries to stop her.
Parvati - Forgive me, swami but I will not stop. This is the question of a woman's honour.
Devi Parvati goes to Indralok.
Parvti - Do you have no concern for a woman's honour? Didn't you think even once how your actions would affect Mukunda?
Indra - I did not do anything on purpose.
Parvati - You cannot escape from your sins by your arguments. You have played with a woman's honour.
Indra - Devi, there is a secret behind what I did. I did not want to reveal it but
Parvati - But what? Why did you stop?
Indra - In her past birth Mukunda was an apsara in Indralok. She always tried to attract me. I never looked at her with those eyes. Her desires kept on increasing. One day, she was crossing her limits. I ordered her to leave Indralok. She decided to insult me. She tore off her clothes and shouted that I had tried to molest her.
Parvati - I understand. You did it all for revenge. But in this birth, Mukunda is not an apsara. She is a mother. She is the son of a maharshi. You have insulted a mother. You will not be freed from maharshi's curse.
Indra - Devi, I can only say that I accept my mistake.
Parvati leaves.
Devarshi Narad meets Gritsamad.
Narad - Without knowing the truth, you cursed your mother. What will you do now?
Gritsamad - I really do not know. Please guide me.
Narad - Go to the lake and worship Lord Ganesh.
While praying to Lord Ganesh in a temple, Gritsamad hears "Om Gam Ganpataye Namah" sound emanating from inside a clay statue outside the temple.
Priest - What are you thinking?
Gritsamad - How is this sound coming out of this?
Priest - He is the son of Vidarbh's prince Bhim. He has been meditating her for years.
Gritsamad - Is he the same who was once in Maharshi Vakchanavi's ashram?
Priest - Yes. Maharshi's wife once blamed him that he was the father of her son. He is praying her to rid himself of the blame. But how do you know about him?
Gritsamad - You are free from the blame, prince. Your prayer is complete. Devraj Indra is the father of that boy.
There is strong wind. The mud gets removed and a person in pricely attire can be seen. He is perhaps Rukmangad.
