Here's the latest on the rankings of the general entertainment genre, as the year draws to a close. As per Week 52 data by TAM Media Research, Colors is the No. 1 channel, with a 22 per cent (C&S, 4+, HSM) share of the overall GEC pie. It has garnered 313 GRPs in the last week of 2009.

STAR Plus is the No. 2 GEC, with a share of 20 per cent. The channel has garnered 279 GRPs, the same as last week. At No. 3, Zee TV, too, has maintained its share and GRPs. It has a relative share of 19 per cent, recording 270 GRPs in Week 52.

Sony's share has declined from 13 per cent in Week 51 to 12 per cent in Week 52. At No. 4, Sony has recorded 171 GRPs. DD1 and NDTV Imagine are at par, with a relative share of 7 per cent each. The GRPs garnered by the two are 100 and 95, respectively.

SAB, at No. 6, has seen a slight decline. From 83 GRPs last week, the channel has recorded 76 in Week 52. Its relative share stands at 5 per cent. STAR One and Sahara One follow with 3 and 2 per cent share, respectively. STAR Utsav and 9X have managed to get 1 per cent share each.

On the list of most watched programmes, Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV is once again at No. 1, garnering a high TVR of 6.6. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai follows closely at No. 2, with a TVR of 6.3.

Uttaran and Balika Vadhu on Colors have both garnered TVRs of 5.8 in Week 52 and share the No. 3 slot. Bidaai on STAR Plus follows, with a TVR of 5.

The other programmes that have made it to the year's last Top 10 list are: Na Aana Is Des Laado, Chhoti Bahu, Dance India Dance season 2 and Sab Ki Laadli Bebo.

How is dat possibleAgle janam had High trps last week and this week its out of Top10 unbelievable moreover in this list only top 9 shows are mentioned something is wrong
But neways now my main concern is the storyline and not da trps

i'm hoping for all the best in TAM Ratings, sometimes articles are wrong. But i'm sure this week it will be ery high, as last week was normal, and this week filled of drama and suspense.

Happy that PR is still #1👏 and DID has climbed.
Laadli is good as well these days.

Let's hold onto our horses till the TAM ratings come out. Up till now Agle Janam has faired well so I don't see why they would drop during a high point in the story.

a rank of 17 means that 16 episodes of pr , yeh rishta, uttaran and balika vadhu have higher trps than bidaai

No this are da ratings of last week [13/12/09 to 19/12/09] and dat also wrong ratings bcoz agle janam got a tvr of 5.7 not biddai

this is for the week ending 26 dec 09
agle janam is not in top 5 for week ending 26 dec 09 in Hindi speaking areas

^^^^Sorry for Misunderstanding Buddy so agle janam is really out of Top 10 dats really bad Hope this week it does well i can't see its ratings goin down wahtever the track may be

its a subscription site
however here are the top 5 for the week ending 19 dec
please note that TVR and TRP are different A tVR of 8 roughly corresponds to a trp of 7
a tvr of 6501 would roughly correspond to a trp of 5.6 -5.7 in afaqs and roughly 4 something in indiantelevision TRPs
there are many different TRP standards
the most relevant is the agencyfaqs one
whenever you see someone touting TRP numbers they will claim the Hindi speaking areas TRP numbers except in case of reality shows where the all iNdia ratings also matter compared to Hindi serials

as of now i only know that agle is not in top 5
if it is in top 10 it is most likely to be in no 6 position
the gap between no 5 bidaai (5 trp ) and no 9 DID (4.8) is just .2
a lot of serials are clustered together at the 5 to 10 mark
