I don't use readers. What I do is that on my browser toolbar (I use Flock, but same would work for Firefox and IE8 as well), when I click on an RSS icon, it gives me the option of staging it on my toolbar. So once I do that for a certain page, with say, articles that are updated all the time, everytime I click on the said page link on the toolbar, it gives me a pull-down menu of all the articles on that page. If the toolbar has been refreshed, it'll also show me any new articles in that page.

I don't normally use it for I-F forum pages (since I'm currently active in only 1 channel), but that would be a good use of it.

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes content to a wide number of people.
Very useful tool for getting updates and also for internet marketing.
Thanks.

Okay, I bookmarked 2 RSS feeds from I-F on my browser.

Way to do it (in Firefox or Flock) - click on the RSS icon next to the addressbar that appears. It will give you the option of a reader, and select 'Add Feedmarks to Flock' (or Firefox). Select that reader, and then when it prompts you to choose a folder, choose the browser toolbar, so that you'll have the forum name on your toolbar.

Now, if one clicks on the forum name, which will have an RSS flag next to it, one will get a pull down of all recent articles, w/ the one w/ the most recent post on the top, and going downwards. It saves one from having to go to that page if one aint there already.
