Chapter 6:

Scanning around the reception, he did not find Naina anywhere, but aha! There was Ms. Arti, naina's friend. He was sure she would know something about Naina's fiance.

"Hello Miss Arti, how are you?" said Yuvi initiating conversation

"Hello Yuvi, aur mere dost mujhe Arti bulate hain"

"Ok, Arti," chuckled Yuvi.

"Kaisi ho aur kal ka din kaisa tha?"

"I am good and yesterday was good, interesting!!"

"Hmm... that's good... waise Naina kahin nazar nahi aarahi hai, she was pretty disturbed yesterday" he asked concerned.

"Haan, she's upset!"

"Kyun? Any problem... if there's anything I can do toh..."

"No, nothing like that. Just ke woh apni shaadi ko leke chintit hai"

"Kya? Shaadi, aur Dr. Naina... Kaun bechara kar raha hai usse shaadi?! Zara hame bhi toh woh bewakouf dikhao" he answered annoyed.

"Well, well, Aapko itni interest kyu hain uski Zindagi mein?" teased Arti.

"Curiosity killed the cat, bas isiliye..." he said, his mind reeling with the fact that Naina was about to get married soon, to someone else.

"Mujhe zyada kuch pata nahi, per Naina ne bataya ke woh handsome hai, Aur woh aaj aaraha hai to meet naina. Naina uske bara mein zyaada baat nahi karti" Arti replied as she saw Naina making her way towards them and stopping abruptly as soon as she saw him.

"hey Naina, abhi tumhari hi baatein ho rahi thi, tumhari shaadi ke bare mein, by the ways Kab hai shadi?" asked an excited Arti.

"Well, 6 hafto mein shaadi hai" replied Naina.

"Invite nahi karogi Naina?" asked Yuvi while a lost Naina gazed into his eyes. Those eyes in which she would never ever tire of seeing. those eyes that showed her a new world, a world of Love and a world of Pain.

Mentally scolding herself for getting lost in his eyes, she replied, "kyu nahi? Tum dono ko zaroor ana hai. Shaadi Mumbai mein ho rahi hai, will you come?"

"why not Naina? I will definitely come," he smirked seeing her perplexed.

"And, it's Dr. Naina, Dr. Singh. I look forward to seeing you at my wedding" she smiled and walked back to her table.

He hated those fake smiles she put on. Didn't she know that he could distinguish between her smiles. Heck, he could read her like a Book. And today his worst fears came true. She was getting engaged and her fiance was coming today, and he had to see who this dafoor was that Naina had agreed to get engaged to him.

The whole day he could not concentrate on anything else apart from Naina and her newly found fiance. only 6 weeks he thought, in 6 weeks she would be someone else's arms, she would be known as some one else's wife, in 6 weeks she would be eternally distanced from him. He had to talk to her and that too soon. Luck was not on his side today. They were put into different teams, so Naina was working with Ali, and he was in one team with Arti.

As soon as the conference was over, Naina left to go home and get ready to meet her fiance. She was happy that she was getting married to some one who respected her after knowing knew her past. He was more like a friend than anything else. He could make her smile with his funny remarks. She felt human when she was with him. he was the only link she had of Yuvi and he knew that. She was meeting him after a week. She had missed him and his..

"madam, cafee ponchigya" said the Taxi driver snapping Naina out of her thoughts and she realised that she had reached her destination. " ketlu thiu?"

As Naina entered the cafe she realised she was surprisingly on time, and there he was, waiting, for her. He got up as soon as she entered and engulfed her in a bear hug surprising her.

"Kya kar rahe ho? koi dekhlega toh?" she asked laughing.

"toh kya? main apni hone wali patni ko gale laga raha hoon, yeh jurm thori na hai?" he joked in return.

"kya, tum bhi na, Mac" she replied hitting him lightly, surprised at this Bubbly Mac, her betrothed. He had chocolate brown hair that looked messy, yet Naina knew he had brushed his hair. his personality was just like his hair, messy looking to the world but beneath that exterior was a heart of gold, that he refuses to let surface. He was about 6 feet tall, lean and well built. His oval face boasted of a flat nose,thin lips and jet-black eyes,that were far apart and wide. Its true when people say that windows are the eyes to the soul And Mac was the perfect example. His eyes spoke of excitement, mischief, and his full-of-life-fun-loving ways. Today he was donning a black and red biker jacket with blue jeans.
