I think Mamta has sumerized the situation very well. He has a soft corner for Anu, since she is unpretentious, simple and innocent. He feels for her, although he has met her only thrice. And if this is not chemistry, what is ....

i am sure that he is in love iwth anu becaz he be thinking about anu and anu be thinking abut nikil so i think they are in love with eachother i am sure
