11AM my time is when the videos get published and i still make time for it, but tdy i must confess i hit the forward button a few times
Which parts were so unbearable?
However the abrupt, completely inexplicable change in Anita's character is equally irksome ... among other things a life-long bond with a loving brother does not go to the dogs over one incident... she had us thinking she actually understood him, remember the conversation with Anuj at her rukhsati... All of a sudden he's enemy number one... over what again???
Yup . . . that is lame! I'm still holding on to a brain lesion as the cause . . . look up Phineas Gage as an example & you'll see wha I mean . . .
Why was it, again, that Anita said no to Mr Tarneja's Mauritius (or was it Singapore) offer?
'Cause she wanted her hubby to stand on his own 2 feet and fly them to S'pore . . . the inexplicable comes in when you consider that mum Taneja hasn't come a visitin' even once . . . why is Anita not loaded? Oh wait . . . that's right . . . she tried the mama/papa route and was indirectly but soundly told off . . . maybe transformations of this ilk are possible and you and I have not had the misfortune to be in such company . . . I gotta run for a bit - the pater's bleeding & needs to be taken into the emergency . . .
i dont think mr. sethi is to blame for this,
There's a massive contributing factor - his constant disparagement and deriding of Anuj . . . he is as harsh as harsh comes . . .
actually i do think she is, in part... having a go at the girls does not automatically translate into having a healthy realtionship with you rgrown up girls...
I couldn't agree more . . . I haven't heard her call them 'worthless'
but the circumstances never are the same... are they?
That's right! They never are! Not even for identical twins raised in the same household!
every child deserves unconditional love from his/her parents!
And Anuj's crime pales in comparison and maltreatment meted out to those who go on to be psychotic (Charleze Theron in 'Monster') . . . that's what deprivation can do . . . true, there is an underlying physiological condition that facilitates it, nevertheless . . .
I think it needs a separate room much like many other activities that are better done in isolation!
But darling she does! Haven't seen anyone else hangin' around . . . and I can see the breakdown . . . anger and adrenalin carry you to a point . . . then the pain sets in . . . and crying is the only catharsis . . .
No wonder Abhi keeps telling her to stop...
But that's no longer out of irritation . . . notice the tenor of his voice? Such dulcet tones! Melts my heart.
And speaking of bawling . . . plenty bawling from Neetu (and remarably well done in my estimation)

And I loved his response to the Bhalla's provoking words! Not the bat of an eyelid... yet the freeze! RB, btw, I think is a master craftsman!! exceptional! And his dialogues were extremely well-written! I'm afraid I almost like him...hahaha ) I can't help thinking now what will this 22 yr old do? (yup ageist me!) He's a mere babe! Ah well, he does know a certain N.S. Dagur rather well... highly influential in regional politics and all that! (that was tongue in check... couldn't find a suitable smiley)

And while we're on the subject... let's talk about Simi's bawling... I hate to sound insensitive, I can appreciate her pain ...maybe it's the English bit in me that finds her howling terribly unsightly ... watching her do that (and she's done it repeatedly hasn't she; make that funny sort of face and those infantile noises ) my reflex is to excuse myself and leave with a "Pardon my barging in ...I'll return when you're done"... much like I'd do if I find someone in the middle of an act when I open the door to the loo! I think it needs a separate room much like many other activities that are better done in isolation! Weeping can be an exceedingly feminine thing, no?... No wonder Abhi keeps telling her to stop...

Belledejour,
I did notice, you were missing from this forum for more than a week! Welcome back!

I am with you on atleast 2 of the things that you pointed out.
For the rest, I will write later - that will take time.

1. RB's dialogues in yday's episode
I created a separate post for that and saw that no one responded to it.
I was like - am I the only species who thought so?! Good to see I am not alone.
Here is that post - https://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1307029

2. Simi's howling.
Again I created a separate post for that too - https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/12-24-karol-bagh/1306414/simi-crying-getting-monotonous
Like ramas explained, Simi is a sherni in front of others showing a brave face and when alone she breaks down.
But my point was, yes everyone has a breaking point and they do cry too. But the way it is done was not to my taste.
She could weep, tears could have been flowing but why to cry so loudly.. when I saw that, I felt - now its getting to repetitive and no wonder Abhi doesn't like that!
When we are extremely angry and sad, we do cry, can't control our tears, think why all these are happening to us, but crying like a kid was too much for me!

ok granted but only as far as its a contributing factor......... the weasel is also responsible

actually i do think she is, in part... having a go at the girls does not automatically translate into having a healthy realtionship with you rgrown up girls...
I couldn't agree more . . . I haven't heard her call them 'worthless'
what else was she doing while having that meltdown abt simi ki shadi??

but the circumstances never are the same... are they?
That's right! They never are! Not even for identical twins raised in the same household!
similar then.........
every child deserves unconditional love from his/her parents!

No wonder Abhi keeps telling her to stop...

Yeah?! Are you referring to yourself or me? But that's a discussion for our PMs . . . so rather than risk a hiding, lemme get back to carping about Belle's carping 😊
(Anuj leaving the Sethi household) could have been brought about without creating Indian-TV like villains.
If anuj can be characterized as a villain, where does that leave RB?
Uber-villain? I see Anuj as someone who is - at a minimum - easily impressionable and a numnuck to boot . . .
The unnecessarily and overly melodramatic bank scene...
I've already been liberally lambasted over this . . . neh Yasu?😉
Don't get me wrong... I totally get the yummy-ness of man tears... the contrast of strength and sensitivity and all that
so far, I've been able to stomach Abhi's teary eyes and RSs anguish . . . VIcky crying is inauthentic . . . wow! what a guy! such misery!
Bottom line... it's all kinda yeah whatever now for me and I doubt it can climb all the way back up in my mind...
OK Belle . . . time for me to put on my 'convince-belle' hat . . . one of the big reasons (other than our Abhi) I'm still with KB is the result of not yet having regained my senses from the shock that there is something at least half-appealing on Indian TV!! I think that's how we need to view things . . . Yasu claims (and is right . . . wait . . . should I be saying that? she's only just acquired a taste for crow!! 😉 ) that when I wail, moan & lament about the unrealism I otta to get my head out of the sand of angrejji movie-land . . . looks like our collective (mine included) expectations need a little calibration and fine-tuning . . . KB is, without question, head and shoulder above the morass that is Indian TV (don't get me wrong - a very significant portion of American TV is awful too) . . . I'll overlook the KB minutiae and foibles for now . . . until the shock wears off 😊
But sho' good to have ya back! Remember I gotta keep my teeth sharp and largely depending on Yasu and you 😊
