Post 1 -As for girls in our society girls are not thrown out despite what tehy do.? I tis just our tradition. Parents live in shame but take care of their girls.
What simi did is not wrong. she loves abhi.Yes nitu did very wrong.
But simi is right in what she is doing. If abhi simi consent then it is their business. Simi has not trapped him Abhi loves her.
Post2 -i dont get what you are saying....Neetu loves Vicky & Simi loves Abhi
Sure it was wrong of neetu to get with Vicky without knowing him properly....but when you say "if abhi simi consent then it is their business" wouldnt that be the same with Neetu/Vicky? They both consented to have sex. Is it right for Simi to be meeting Abhi secretly? If Abhi-Simi love each other and want to marry each other & if everyone says no, its alright? But when Anuj & Anita wanted to get married everyone thought it was wrong cause simi is older & she looks mean, etc. But it was THEIR business right? & Neetu and Vicky had sex...that was also their business. I dont get why everyone but simi is wrong.?
what I mean was in the context of what vicky nitu did and tha tto have pre marital sex which will end int o unwed preganancy.
yes what Nitu vicky did is also no one's business. But the society does not approve unwed mothers. That is why Nitu is so worried and such occurance bring a shame to a fmily. Nitu at this point has only 2 choices either she can marry vicky or she abort.

YES.... SO NEETU's WRONG AS THE SOCIETY DOES NOT APPROVE OF THIS! HOW ABOUT SIMMI..? DOES AN INDIAN MIDDLE CLASS SOCIETY
APPROVE OF A YOUNGER BOY MARRYING AN OLDER GIRL?!🤔
AND HOW ABOUT A YOUNG BOY SNEAKING INTO THE HOME OF 3 UNMARRIED GIRLS of a "RESPECTABLE' Family At NIGHT? IS THAT ACCEPTABLE..?? ANd as far as Simmi's concerned,SHE WAS MORE EAGER FROM HER SIDE THAN ABHI.... At Least after watching the episodes I Felt that!! She was the one who kept expecting When Will abhi say those magic Words But I'm not Sure If Abhi's feelings were that Strong! It was when abhi saw Simmi in Big Distress that he fell for her in the way of helping her out from the rajiv bhalla and 'Not getting Good Groom' as Rajiv had told the marriage bureau NOT to entertain Simmi Sethi.... if Simmi was IN LOVE ,WHY DID SHE GO TO THE MARRIAGE BUREAU?? She was NOT In love at that point but later it might have come to her mind that WHY NOT ABHI?????????????????????? IF I LIKE HIM & HE'S WITH ME AS my HUMDARD Why Not see him as my HUMSAFAR😉 So as somebody else has asked " I dont get why everyone but simi is wrong.?
well My answer is I think Simmi's Somewhat wrong!!

I think parents always guide their children the right way !! Anuj we don' know if he was stubborn from the beginning and was not being quite open and talking to his dad. This could have caused a wall being created between him and RS ..

Slapping younger sister was really a bad effort from Anuj's part and I think RS wanted him to realise that give respect to whoso ever young or old. Your sibling can be explained verbally raising hand to say somthing was'nt a good effort in telling her not to come inbetween two people who are talking ( Anuj and Simi)

I AGREE 100 % Shanti But... but.... even if Anuj was stubborn(He doesn't look Stubborn though Otherwise he wouldn't have listened to Anita either or he wouldn't have dropped the idea of installing the gifts that Anita's parents gave them but Rajinder would not Let them do that in HIS house!) Rajinder is the Elder one,the more matured one,THE PARENt..Right>???????????????????????????? Right from the beginning we see rajinder taunting Anuj, not letting go a single opportunity of Berating his own son! However,I did not find Anuj that bad.. in fact he seemed to be very TIMID(that's due to Rajinder's shouting at his grown up Son - that i call OVER PARENTING)🤔
It's due to RAJINDER Sethi's bad PARENTING AND pARTIAL attitude towards his Son that is a cause of today's incident and I've seen such incidents in practical life where the SOn is not given any liberty even after he's married and he is compelled to LEAVE the House n long after that the Father realizes that he's been Way too Harsh but then it becomes a Male Ego Clash😭

This is where the son can also talk to the dad.. Did Anuj make any effort to help out his dad with anything !! Even during Simi 's marriage he was more concern weather his marriage will take place or not ..

I am sure RS wanted to treat his 4 kids equally but maybe Anuj and Neetu lacked some affection from RS due to which I guess they both sail in the same boat of being neglected.

Its always Ladkay hai Maa ka ladla and Ladki papa ki princess !!!😃

QUOTE=iamindian

You quoted quite a few points in here.. starkly different thoughts ..

Here's my point of view to the questions raised by iamindian

Rajinder was against throwing a Big Party for his Son getting married(Don't know Why-Even ManjuJi was also not in support of Rajinder for this) and when some items were gifted from Anita's house,Rajinder refused to accpt them

The reason was mentioned in the show. Simi's wedding had just broken off - obviously not a happy moment for the Sethis. To have another back to back pom and show of a wedding almost immediately would have been a little too insensitive. It was right to keep a low key at the second wedding.

Even for Anita-They Could've kept those items in Anita's room?? If it's Simmi-Abhi's PRIVATE MATTER to have an Affair,if it's Neetu Vicky's CHOICE to have S*X then why shouldn't Anuj-Anita be given that little liberty to choose to keep some Gifts from his In-laws??

Personal life/affair is another thing. It's no one's business but of the two couple on what they do. But as parents they had to stop encouraging the parade of stuff like the one Anita got for her comfort.. What Rajender did is called modesty, living under his means.. it's nothing wrong, infact it's a rare quality otherwise people do succumb to materialistic pleasures..

Consider this, we are told she gets crockery, microwave, etc.. that means Anita/Anuj eat on expensive plates .. warm up their food in 'their' microwave .. while the rest of the Sethis use the gas stove/ regular 'middle class' stuff? Isn't that class differentiation right there !!!

Anita got married into a middle class .. she needs to adjust into how the family lives. You cannot just barge into someone's house with a truck-ful of stuff and say it's for my own comfort .. ! If she has to bring in a change it has to be gradual .. with a mutual understanding from the rest of the family.

And when Milli came with the Good News of getting admission in a London College,Rajinder just said MY DAUGHTERS WILL MAKE SETHI FAMILY PROUD and He also said something to ManjuJi about Anuj that was obviously NOT PRAISING HIM!! He's been OVER CRTICIAL OF ANUJ everytime..Rajinder,as anuj's father IS RESPONSIBLE for that!!

RS is critical of Anuj's faults. That's not being ridiculed. Comeon, then Neetu and Simi should go complaining around of being insulted by their mom all the time. Do you see that happening? Hardly! Anuj is more of a pampered kid .. complaining about his dad for whatever wrong happens.

There's a difference between Mili and Anuj .. Mili looked darn guilty when she asked for money from RS for her course in London. She knew there were tough times .. but Anuj had no sense of guilt/remorse in asking his father for money for his honeymoon, which is more of a pleasure trip ! .. If the youngest daughter could realize the seriousness of the money situation then why could not a son who was working !!

He was very Critical of Anuj as he's chosen his Bride

Correction! .. That's RS humor.. very slapstick.. He isn't ridiculing Anuj.. the joke is mostly on Manuja!

Well, Neetu was surely 'expected' to wait for her parents to look for a suitable groom for her

And Simmi..?? OH PLEASE!! Being the eldest in the Family How could she have an affair with a boy

Gosh! .. do you really think .. just because it's a middle class family, the girls have no right to love someone?? !! .. What's with this thinking really??? .. Just can't understand this!! .. Comeon .. girls have EQUAL rights just as guys to choose their partners.. if Simi/Neetu love someone then what's the harm? .. It's NOT A CRIME.. I agree that what Neetu did was wrong.. we have yet to see how that unfolds. But you are seriously against Simi's love for Anuj .. why??? .. because she is older than him?? .. n how does it matter to you or anyone else in society for that matter.. it's their life.. she deserves to be happy .. which she is with Anuj .. and so is he.. what is there to be ashamed of?

Simi and Abhi:
I don't think what they are doing is wrong in any way. They love each other and are waiting for the right time to tell their parents. In the mean time Abhi is helping out Simi's dad as if he was his own. They have not committed any crime in my eyes. Just because Abhi is younger than her doesn't make him a good person. A marriageable match is based on if the two people can support each other emotionally and physically through good and bad times. Yes, people mature as they get older, but there is no age for maturity - like you turned 24 and now you are all of a sudden mature. If the boy is mature but younger there really isn't any problem. He has helped Simi already in bad times sohe will only stay around if they get married.

Neetu and Vicky:
I agree they have the right to love each other but what they did together was a crime in society and religious eyes. Having physical relations prior to marriage is wrong but not being in love.

Abhi and Anita:
Abhi may feel insecurities because of his dad always yelling at him and what not. I agree that his dad shouldn't have refused the gifts from Anita's parents. But Abhi and Anita committed a crime by stealing their dad's money. Abhi's insecurities and his dad yelling at him for this, that, and the other doesn't allow him to steal much less hit his sister because she was asking for answers for his crime. His hitting Mili solidified the fact he was scared about getting caught stealing nothing more.

Rajender:
I think that he was actually lenient with Anju. He could have asked for him to return the money back but he did not. He asked Anju and Anita to leave the house because they disrespected a family member by hitting her. He did not go to the police or throw out Anju for stealing his money.

Aww...i feel so bad for Neetu :(
Stuck in this kind of situation and not knowing what to do..
i wouldn't ever be in this situation but
I would just die if i got pregnant....how would i face my parents? how can i abort the kid? How can i marry at 20(im not 20 yet though 😆) & not have people talk? That would bring sooo much shame to my parents!

i get what you mean though...pre marital sex is a big no-no
though i do think that everyone lives for themselves & can do whatever they want to do
But she shoulda known before having sex that she could have gotten pregnant.
Now she has to deal with it
