I do NOT mean to be preempting anyone from commenting first . . . I apologize in advance . . .

And woman! Extreme irrationality is sometimes thy middle name . . .

Another masterfully executed episode . . . well deserving of accolades . . . so folks, let's give them a round of applause shall we?

I was absolutely stunned at the duplicity of a son towards his family with whom his binding is consanguineal (by blood) . . . he a c t u a l l y walked off with his father's hard earned money in a bag!!! WHAT a troglodyte . . . although second only to his harridan of a wife . . . he let his mother pityingly grovel to keep him from leaving . . . Manju that was pathetic, pathetic, pathetic . . . when you should have been seething, you were showing bathos?!! We're the stronger sex!! There is a gross injustice being inflicted and you're not convinced? By the overwhelming evidence of guilt?!!! He could NOT look his father in the eye and yet, yet you importune!! Can one seriously go over the deep end as to block out events from but hours ago and get back to the quotidian - ' Simi, fix Anuj's lunch' 'Mili make sure not to knock too loud on his door'!! Herein lies a woman's irrationality.

Mili - why the remorse? How are you culpable in this mess? You are still dependent on your parents for your welfare. Is the truth be kept from them? The truth of an accomplishment that brings them nothing but joy - as a counterpoint to the unbearable pain? Wherein lies a greater injustice? Surely, herein lies a woman's irrationality.

Neetu - you need to emerge from that cocoon and take responsibility for your (mis)deeds. You haven't yet reached the level of irrationality. I can still hope.

Simi! Simi! Simi! How could you?!!! Implore an idiot brother and a venomous sinlaw to reconsider?!! Maybe the shock is not letting the magnitude of the crime register! Your ambivalence on so many levels is making me tear my hair out (and I ain't looking for brownie points with Daadi Dagar)! If you had the gumption, resolve, and determination to confront the wretch, to declare that Neetu will undergo an abortion, where did it all vanish? Why the flailing over the one thing that would ensure constancy in your life - Abhi? This needs to be your lot:

Then spake fair Venus' son, that proud victorious boy,

And said, you dainty dame, since that you be so coy,

I will so pluck your plumes that you shall say no more:

Go, go, go, seek some otherwhere

Importune me no more

Herein lies a woman's irrationality.

That was very well written as usual. 😊
I have really improved my vocabulary by reading your posts. Anyways, what ever you said was absolutely right; from Anuj's ignorance about his own mistake, to Manju forgetting it all in a few hours, to Mili's irrational accusation on herself, to Neetu's irresponsibility. and Simi's stupid efforts to stop her brother from leaving.
However, you didn't say anything about the precap, what do you think Daggar is going to do now?

hahaha... sounds like you've been told off! 😊

your kinda thing then? am i wrong in thinking that such drama is found in abundance across indian TV? the acting was par excellence ... but surely there's nothing unique about ageing parents being disheartened and depressed over villaionous sons lead astray by wicked daughters-in-law!
I was absolutely stunned at the duplicity of a son towards his family with whom his binding is consanguineal (by blood) . . . he a c t u a l l y walked off with his father's hard earned money in a bag!!!
in another post ive actually pondered over this... as to why no one especially Milli demand that he returned the money before he stepped a foot out of the house...
btw... how did him and the mrs get changed with papaji still situated firmly in the room??
😕
WHAT a troglodyte . . . although second only to his harridan of a wife . . . he let his mother pityingly grovel to keep him from leaving . . .
yes almost too heinous to be real... why would he let his mother grovel at his feet!?? why? he has no reason! except to make us hate his guts ofcourse... the melodrama (literally so, with the voices fading into tragic music...oh puhleeez spare me!) just isnt doing anything for me... i find it too unreal to be touched! a failure in my eyes...

No she doesnt need to be convinced of his guilt, she knows... she is in denial! she's willing to forgive him every travesty... she happily send a daughter off to hell to save him... her mighty wrath will fall upon Simi for sure...soon enough... pathetic indeed! What poor light to shed on a mother...

unnecessary and meant only to give some lines to a soon to be protagonist with her own love life tangles ... unconvincing yet again!
Neetu - you need to emerge from that cocoon and take responsibility for your (mis)deeds. You haven't yet reached the level of irrationality. I can still hope.
oh that'll will come soon enough... in the way of im not aborting my baby...blah blah blah!

Simi! Simi! Simi! How could you?!!! Implore an idiot brother and a venomous sinlaw to reconsider?!!

She stood there and took all that crap from Anita? and the excuse is shes in shock?? She pleaded guilty by way of not protesting to the charge that she meant to divide the house... *yawn... that ive surely heard on indian telly before! i just cant recall where!... Such exchnges have naught to do with real life! absolutely theatrical and highly detrimental to the quality of the show!

yes apt perhaps to compare her to Elizabeth... sacrifice incarnate! the virgin queen shall do all she can for 12/24 Karol Bagh above and beyond the call of duty... and fair Venus' son will ride off back to school and get on with life!
Go, go, go, geek some other where, pester me no more!

your kinda thing then?
Dunno . . . good acting is good acting . . . no matter how you cut it . .. the last 2 episodes have been 'superlative'
am i wrong in thinking that such drama is found in abundance across indian TV? the acting was par excellence ... but surely there's nothing unique about ageing parents being disheartened and depressed over villaionous sons lead astray by wicked daughters-in-law!
Nothing unique at all . . . on some minor scale the drama reflects members of my 'tribe' . . . it's the portrayal that is totally unique (cast/story line/costume) - again, relatively speaking.
Milli demand that he returned the money before he stepped a foot out of the house...
They may have assumed that it would be one collosal idiot who would bring the money home . . . so, must have deposited it in the bank . . .
btw... how did him and the mrs get changed with papaji still situated firmly in the room??
Belle, belle, belle! This is one of those rigorous exercises left for the viewer!
i find it too unreal to be touched! a failure in my eyes...
many parts of it are . . . can anyone else, unequivocally refute this kind of melodrama as real? We haven't gone this far in my family . . . yet . . . but it may not be beyond the realm of possibility
What poor light to shed on a mother...
That her! An out-n-out yo-yo . . .
in the way of im not aborting my baby
Oh joy!! So far she hasn't given any hint of balking . . . Simi's been pretty authoritative and firm . . . Neetu is not going to metamorphose into a junior Abhi overnight . . . mum's bent upon having her medically checked out next week, and Simi says they've only got tomorrow (if it's not to be a back-alley abortion) . . . she needs to exercise some sense and the above stance is not the way to go about doing that . . .
She stood there and took all that crap from Anita?
I would have done the same . . . 'Anita you're a non-entity, I'm not about to waste my breath on you!' Didn't so much as look at her! She's not about to add to the histrionics of a caustic Anita and expects Anuj to, even now, find his spine . . . there's a great deal to be said with one's silence: "Anuj, is that how pathetic you are?!!! That you could even conceive that that is what we sisters would have colluded over? Really?!! ANUJ?!!"
Go, go, go, geek some other where, pester me no more!
Belle!!! Gasp!!! Were you speaking to me?!!! 😭

However, you didn't say anything about the precap, what do you think Daggar is going to do now?
Lemme see . . . unless Simi uses my ploy from the 'KB- an alternate approach' thread, we may be subjected a bit more to tiresome Dagar'isms . . . if Simi follows the words I put in Abhi's mouth, then
'bye-bye Dagar' is going to be pretty trivial . . . she was thinking fast on her feet (must have had a run-in with Yasu) when she said 'gee Dad. unseemly to be turning down the fella 3 times in a row' because that would give her an excuse to get Neetu out (who was a chaperone - remember?) and into a OB/GYN clinic . . . so maybe, just maybe, she'll come across as being in utter utter misery and ask Mr Na kool to kool it - sub rosa! I would be devastated if that damn part of KB has her marrying the fellow . . . that would be too too much!!!
