Let me just start off by reminding peeps that BB is NOT a copy of Mr Ya Miss. It's the Hindi remake of Lalola, an Argentine series that has been remade in various languages such as Spanish, Russian, Turkish, Portugese and many more. As far as I know, all the remakes followed the original pattern. All barring one. Surprise surprise...I'm talking about BB 😳
I have seen Lalola starring Carla Peterson and Luciano Castro who played Lola and Facundo, known to us as Bharti and Armaan. The story is practically the same, casanova gets cursed and transforms into a woman over night. She falls in love with her work collegue etc etc. We all know the deal. However, DJs have deviated from the original story BIG TIME. And frankly speaking, that's not right. The concept of BB has not been created by them and to change the nature of the show, esp. if it isn't your creation- well I think that's cheeky.Lalola wasn't an eye opener show. It was pure entertainment. It was a light hearted romantic comedy with the odd moment of serious stuff. But it wasn't based on any social issues. Yes, it dealt with the identity of a woman and how Lola transforms and embraces womanhood. But it also was about love and how it can change a person for the better. Sadly, the BB writers have either shyed away from this or have lacked guts in developing it.I understand that there is a cultural difference therefore certain things need to be changed in order to cater a desi audience. I fully appreciate this. However, love is a universal emotion, not exclusive to anyone in particular. It is felt and experienced by all. So why are the writers shying away from showing love between Armaan and Bharti? In Lalola, Lola similar to Bharti, finds it hard to accept her feeling for Facundo. But ultimately, she succumbs to her feelings because she realizes that she is a woman. Her experiences, her feelings are that of a woman. But in BB, they are hell bent on showing Bharti as Bhaksar, even NOW. I mean, c'mon. Bharti's come a long way now. Where's Bhaskar? The heart that beats within that body is now a heart of a WOMAN.And with all due respect, this story should not be about Bhaskar's identity. It's about Bharti FORMING her own identity, because that is how it is originally. In the original, Lola accepts her identity and embraces it with open arms. And she accepts the fact that she has found true love in Facundo. The series showed that you can break as many hearts as you want but ultimately you will find out the true meaning of love and heartache when you genuinely fall for someone. That is what Lalola showed but sadly BB has lacked. If any of you have watched the original, I'm sure you will understand what I am trying to say better. you would then be able to understand why ArBi fans have been cheated. There is not suppose to be a track between Bhaskar and Payal, that has never been developed and is one sided. The main purpose of this story should be to show how the course of true love never runs smoothly (as Shakespeare said) and that love can change how you perceive things and your approach to life. It can make you understand life and appreciate it more. Sadly, this has not been developed properly in BB.I will feel very cheated if Bharti and Armaan do not unite in the end. Because that is what should happen. Bharti has become a woman in every sense. (Barring motherhood) And she should be able to make the choice whether or not she wants to change. Lola made a choice and accepted her identity because of the love she had for Facundo. She didn't want to lose the most precious gift that she had gained. However if the BB writers transform Bharti back to Bhaskar, that will defeat the purpose of Bharti falling in love. And the audience by now should be able to diiferentiate between the two identities- Bhaksar & Bharti.I really enjoyed Lalola. But having said that, I never connected with it the way I have connected with BB. I would go as far as saying that BB HAD the potential of being better than the original. Methinks Ragini is a far superior actress than Carla (Lola) and has been able to convince me so well with her potrayal of Bhaskar/Bharti. And she's been able to convey various emotions due to her versatality and Ragini has the spark and charm which Carla lacked. Also, Aamir has been more convincing as Armaan in comparison to Luciano (Fucando) Luciano had charm but in comparison, Aamir's potrayal for me was better than the original simply cuz he is a far better actor. The original actor lacked in showing emotion, wheras Aamir has really proven that good looks and talent can indeed go hand in hand.I know this has been a loooong rant. Apologies for that. But I'm trying hard to convey my point that apart from indentity, Lalola focused on love. And BB has derailed from that. Lalola was Lola and Facundo's story. But in BB, it's been about Bhaskar turning into Bharti. That's cheating the audience cuz there should have been a well developed love story. And I tell you what, Lola and Facundo's love story intrigued me but it was no where near the intensity that ArBi have. Bharti and Armaan have been on-off on-off continuously. Yet they have been able to capture my admiration for them. Chemistry isn't with physical intimacy. Two ppl can be standing far apart and yet your eyes are fixed on them both cuz there is something that binds them together, there is an imaginary magnet that draws them closer. And I think that Aamir and Ragini's onscreen chemistry brings life into ArBi. Together they have charm, which mesmerizes me.So after my jibberish talk, I just want to reiterate my point that viewers have been cheated. Simply cuz writers are betraying the original. When other foreign production houses have remained faithful to the original, why can't DJs? And I have nothing against Bhaskar! But things are never really about how you start off. Cuz in they end, it doesn't really matter how you start. And some ppl may think that it's weird- Bhaskar falling for Armaan. But if that's the case, then they haven't followed the show properly. First of all, it's a hypothetcial question. It shouldn't be taken seriously. Secondly and most importantly, it's not fair to undermine the identity of Bharti and the journey she has been through. Bharti has her own existence. And Bharti is the one that has fallen for Armaan. Bhaskar is out of the question.@Tanu: I'm not sure if you have seen the Argentine version or Spanish one...it's kinda confusing cuz the languages sound similar! And the Spanish kept the same names for the characters. But please do let me know what you think about my comparision :)I know I won't get much feedback over this topic. But I had to go on this rant to feel better 😆Side note: If anyone's still awake after reading my nonsense...I will miss BB like anything and not seeing ArBi will be torture 😭 Gonna miss Rags and her awesome smile and top class acting. And I will miss Aamir and his....*correction* I will miss EVERYTHING about him ;)
Sorry dear... but there was MARD adjustmen in a womans body.. in the start ther was veryyy much😊... slowly we removed to the other tracks ... Although your post was long,it was awesome.....😊
First of all..
Awesome post dear...
Hats off for writing such a long post....👏👏👏
Coming to the main point....
I completely agree to you...
With every single word in the post....
Though I have not saw Lalola but have always wanted ArBi to be together.....
But if in Lalola they were together....
Then I think BB creatives should also show the same thing....
Take Care
