Colors continues top run; SAB inching closer to Imagine

Once again, there is status quo in the ranking of Hindi general entertainment channels. Colors continues its top run with 25 per cent share of the GEC pie, as per TAM data for Week 49, C&S, 4+, HSM audiences. Its GRPs have risen to 341 in the latest week.

STAR Plus' share has remained unchanged from last week. The channel, which is at No. 2, has recorded 253 GRPs and 19 per cent share. Only two of its shows are in the list of top 10 programmes in the latest week.

Zee TV, at No. 3, has garnered 18 per cent share. In Week 48, the channel fetched a relative share of 19 per cent and was at par with STAR Plus. Sony has held on to its GRPs in Week 49 as well; its share stands at 14 per cent.

NDTV Imagine, at No. 4, has been losing share. Currently, the channel holds 7 per cent share of the GEC pie and its GRPs have slipped to 99.

Closely following Imagine is SAB, which has been on a growth curve for the past few weeks. With 6 per cent relative share, it is just 18 GRPs behind Imagine. Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma on SAB has been fetching an average TVR of 3.

At No. 7 is STAR One, with 3.5 per cent share. Sahara One and DD1 have both garnered 2 per cent share. STAR Utsav and 9X have recorded 1 per cent share each.

On the list of top 10 programmes on Hindi GECs, Balika Vadhu is the most watched show in Week 49 with 6.7 TVR. Uttaran and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai have recorded high TVRs of 6.4 each. Pavitra Rishta and Chhoti Bahu on Zee have recorded TVRs of 5.5 and 5.4, respectively.

Bidaai and Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo have garnered TVRs of 5 each. The other shows in the top 10 are: Na Aana Is Des Laado, Bairi Piya and Jhansi Ki Rani.
