Midweek: 'Paa' catches on like wild fire, picks up hugely, 'Radio' is non-starter!

Paa	Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Paresh Rawal, Arundhati Naag	Performances by every member of its cast, especially Amitabh Bachchan as Auro, plus R. Balki's sensitive direction	Script could've been tighter [the political track doesn't work]	Had a slow Friday [approx. Rs. 2.15 cr.], although business picked up in the evening shows. Saturday witnessed a big jump in business at plexes [approx. Rs. 3.50 cr.]. Sunday showed a further jump [approx. Rs. 5.25 cr. to Rs. 5.50 cr.]. Such escalation in day-wise business is a rarity in today's times. Only goes to show that the film has been lapped up in a big way. Monday is expected to be better than Friday

i think akshay is soo following govinda's path,getting irritatingly repetative..:(..this guy was so gud in hera pheri,even tasveer.

Biased....If Wake Up sid was called a hit fromt he word GO by ht emedia then WHY is PAA called a poor start by the media....double standards....look for yourself...

YAY! For Paa! It's a great film! This what I call India at it's best! Kurbaan..a flop? I thought it was a semi-hit! Not a great year for KAreena or Akki, but KI did really well do I guess it's ok!

who told u KI did well.😕.gosh why do ppl believe the great opening makes movie a hit...it wasnt it was an average fare...fall down heavily in its business just after 3 days

I think I read it on wikipedia, but there were so many posts on IF as to why such a bad film do so well! I guess I like many others didn't like the plotline!
