Send Mere Jeevan Saathi EcardsThe Darshan camp's penchant for melodramatic triangles comes to the fore again with the long delayed "Mere Jeevan Saathi" starring Karisma Kapoor in her first release after marriage, Akshay Kumar and Amisha Patel.

Suneel Darshan's film that releases Friday has Akshay Kumar trapped between two women, quite like Akshay's earlier "Aitraaz" directed by Abbas-Mastan. In the earlier one, Kareena played the supportive wife and Priyanka the obsessive lover. In "Mere Jeevan Saathi", Karisma plays the possessive woman while Amisha is the devoted wife.

Send Mere Jeevan Saathi EcardsThe film is centred around Vicky, played by Akshay Kumar, who is a budding pop singer and is madly in love with Anjali (Amisha Patel). Life moves at a smooth pace till Vicky gets two offers from two different music companies. The first comes from Morani and Torani, who like his voice and engage him for their company. Meanwhile, Canada-based company Angel International Music also extends him an offer to do stage shows in Canada.

The offer is lucrative so he accepts it and returns the advance payment to Morani and Torani. His refusal infuriates them and they decide to teach him a lesson by making him physically handicapped. But Vicky comes out unscathed in the attack, and Anjali is injured and confined to bed.

Send Mere Jeevan Saathi EcardsVicky is in a fix. He does not want to leave Anjali and go to Canada but she persuades him to do so.

In Canada, he meets Natasha (Karisma), his ex-college mate who always had a crush on him and turns out to be owner of Anjali International Music Company.

Their closeness rekindles the romance.

Now Vicky is caught between his love for Anjali and loyalty to Natasha.

The film's music is its high point.

If the film clicks, it would be a miracle because run-of-the-mill love stories fail to stir audiences these days.
