I think that Abhi needing reassuring isn't a new take on his character. I think that in love, and a new one at that, jealousy happens. and that's what it is right now, he's jealous and afraid of losing her. he knows her well and knows that she will do ANYTHING for her family (like marrying RB) and that scares him too.

So yes, he shouldn't have said what he did but I don't think it's that out of character for a young person who is newly in love. Jealous happens and so does insecurity. There are times when Simi will need that reassurance and times when Abhi....that's the point of their friendship turned into relatinoship.

For now, i'm eagerly waiting for this making up session (the only fun part about them fighting is watching them make up!).

I agree when abhi was not in love and just a freind he ws strong he did not need any reassureance he was in command helping a damsel in distressbut now he is helpless becaus ehe is is in love and feels that he may loose his lady love to soem one stronger bigger and his ego is hurting. true jealosy can make person do anything even killing.
