I'm struggling with a back problem, which I have had for a long time. So I've decided to be less active. However, after watching today's epi....I just had to post. As much as I luv BB, today I saw some points which ticked me off. Well, they may not seem significant to others. But I noticed a few things that I wanted to point out:
1) Bharti does exist, you stupid creative team: I was really miffed at the last scene where heads and tails, Bhaskar and Bharti were speaking. I didn't like the conversation because in simple words, Bhaskar said that Bharti doesn't exist- only a man exists and that's Bhaskar. That really rubbed me the wrong way because that's a false statement. Whatever Bharti has gone through and experienced, that's hers. The way I see it, Bhaskar has been stuck in a time warp somewhere. He's the one that doesn't exist. Well- not at the moment.
How can it be said that Bharti doesn't exist? Bharti has created her own identity. The position she has attained at MU. The relationship she started from scratch with Bhaskar's parents, the female bonding with Payal, the mother/daughter relationship with Jia. And above all, the complex yet very beautiful relationship with Armaan. All of this belongs to Bharti. And I'm not a feminist, but to say that Bharti (ironically the woman) doesn't exist....that just irks me to no end!
And it's quite funny that Bhaskar was telling Bharti that a man doesn't have a suhaag raat with a man, because- FLASHBACK! Bharti was willing to marry Armaan and obviously develop a physical relationship, for whatever reason. So why is it different with Omkaar? Duh! She doesn't love Omkaar. She has feelings for Armaan and whether anyone accepts it or not, those are the feelings that every woman feels once she finds the man of her dreams. And once again, Bharti showed that Armaan not believing her actually matters to her, to which Bhaskar replied it makes no difference to HIM. Very true. It makes no difference to Bhaskar. But with Bharti it's a different story alltogether. It makes a huge difference to HER.
She runs ahead, Armaan left behind: The precap left me quite confused. If KK helps Bharti run, then what will happen to Armaan? And this is a really vital question because somehow or the other, Bharti does a complete circle and always finds herself coming back to Armaan. So if she runs, I wonder how he will fit into all of this. And frankly speaking, I think it's about time that the creatives become more creative and bring these two together....PROPERLY. I mean. think about it- if you're a writer, you should be able to make something out of nothing. And I'm not talking abt the writers that recycle storylines. I'm referring to writers that use their imagination to create circumstances in which characters develop.
I don't buy the argument that if Armaan and Bharti get together, there will be no story. The main point of BB is identity. Therefore it would be interesting to see a clash between Bhaskar and Bharti over who should remain in the eyes of the world. And if the writers have any sense, they could use today's conversation as a stepping stone. Whatever happens, the writers have once again brought ArBi to a halt. Where is it heading?
Finally: I have mixed feelings abt today's epi and have not so good vibes abt upcoming tracks. Thank God Bharti was saved today, that by Bua LOL. The foe became a friend. Well, just for a moment! But KK's talks in the precap have left me highly confused. Judging by past situations, the chances are that Bharti will go through even bigger problems if she runs. But whatever happens, I hope that Armaan and Bharti's connection remains. I'm sick of this cat and mouse game. Either the handsome but oh so clueless Armaan FINALLY believes Bharti, or they somehow elope and get married. I don't know. I just want them together. I'm greedy for ArBi scenes. And just two shots of Armaan today was criminal. Arrest the bloomin writers!!
Guys, plz share your views. However, I won't be online as much as I have been recently. So I shall reply to any comments next Monday. In case tragedy strikes and the writers mess up BB...again....well then consider me on a very, very long vacation from the forum
