Abhi will not have to say anything; as always the writers will have someone (probably Simi) say, that it does not matter what Abhi thinks, it matters what she thinks. She will agree to meet with Nikhul and that will make the storyline of Nukul last longer. Simi is traditional and so is the Seethi family, so the fact that he is traditional gives her no reason to reject the rishta. The guy is perfect for her and unless she reveals that she is interested in Abhi, she has no way out of the arrival of Nukul. Also, I don't even think this bothers her. Perhaps she is excited now that she has two suitors and can have the best of Abhi and Nukul.
Abhi will then go home and cry boo-hoo. He should then pack a suitcase and go back to school and find a girl his own age. He'll get over Simi. He's too young anyway and by the time he has an income, Simi will be 32 years old and there is no way she can wait around that long with Manju down her throat.
So what exactlhy was the purpose of Nukul?
a) to push the Abhi-Simi romance out in the open,
b) just drag the story and create unnecessary suspense,
c) turn Abhi into a wimp and Simi into the strong person,
d) role reversal with Abhi is as the guy who can't get girls and struggles with rejection (that sucks for Simi, after all this time she ends up with the male version of herself),
e) turn Simi into a hot babe but without the makeover and with two suitors,
f) forget the orignal storyline of the rejected girl and turn Simi into the typical desi drama heroine who can't pick from the array of guys at her door?
By the way, did anyone notice it was rather odd that Neetu dropped the bag in front of Nukul as if she actually knew him and/or knew something about him? Just a really odd moment there.
