I think we should test this out before mentioning it in the suggestions thread. I don't know how to verify though ... I'll need to change someone's private settings to confirm ... does anyone want to volunteer? I won't look at any of your personal details ... I'll just click the button and once I change the settings, I'll quickly change them back within a few seconds.

Or should I ask in the viewbie section's help desk? Which option is better?

So your settings say that others can't view your email address. However, I can see it even without changing that setting!

As for the scrapbook one, I can't see your scraps usually but once I change the setting, I can see all of them.

So I guess the same applies to all the other settings. The sig/avi one I don't need to experiment with because I already did that on Mitsy's profile last night and it worked.

Well thankgod i didnt used my other email address, thanks for letting us know Sarah. Are you allowed to leak out this information LOL =P. Btw how can a MOD figure out a members address using their IP address??? I'm a bit dumb on these things.

Ash - I don't think there are any rules against letting people know about this. Most of that stuff is common knowledge on IF anyway.

A mod can see people's IP addresses ... so all he/she has to do is go to an IP tracking website, enter the IP and the person's location and/or real name gets displayed on the screen.
