||BIRTHDAY BASH||
A girl who just turned 16 was walking restlessly in her room. She was fuming in anger, today was her birthday and none of her "so called" gang members remembered. She had been waiting for some surprise since 12 last night but didn't receive even a call from any one of them.
"stupid, idiot, morons' all of them!!!", she said as she clenched her fists and stomped her feet.
She sat on the bed and threw the cushions and pillows all over. She didn't know what to do or how to lessen her anger.
"these people claim to be my friends' ek birthday tou yaad nahin rakh sakte' I hate you all...", she said as she leaned against the crown of bed.
Just then her mother walked in and she was shocked to see the room all scattered.
"Aishwarya dear' whats all this???", she asked.
"mom' actually' I am sorry' I will clean up all this'", Aishwarya replied as she wiped her tears.
"are you all right honey?", her Mom asked in a worried tone.
"Mom' none of my friends remembers my birthday' Sia, Suhana, Waqas, Kavya, Fatima, Ashifa' all have forgotton'", she said as she placed her head on her mom's shoulder.
"come on darling' that's ok' itni choti choti baatein dil se nahin lagate'", mom said as she placed her hand on Aishwarya's cheek and tried to pacify her.
"it's not a small thing Mom' they are my buddies, my pals' not even one of them remembers my special day' I am not gonna talk to anyone of them'", tears rolled down her cheeks.
"dekho beta' aisa ho jata hai kabhi kabhi' aur yeh itni bari baat tou nahin ke iss ki waja se dosti torr li jaye'", Mom said and kissed her forehead.
"ok Mom'", Aishwarya said in a low voice.
"now stop this tona dhona and get ready' aaj tumhara birthday hai' we are going to make it special'", Mom said and she left the room.
Aishwarya was feeling much better after talking to her Mom. She wasn't angry now, but yes she was still feeling a bit low. She went to freshen up herself.
It was late afternoon time; Aishwarya was scrolling the channels of TV to find something of her interest. She just had lunch, mom had cooked all her favorites and they had also planned a family outing for the evening.
She had found something of interest and was now fully engrossed in it, suddenly someone placed hands on her eyes. Asishwarya was startled.
"KOn hai yar?", she asked trying to remove the hands from her eyes.
"guess dear'", the person said.
"Sia ki bachchi' guess kar liya main ne' ab hath hata'", Aishwarya said asn turned back to face her.
"cool' kaisi hai tu Aishu???", Sia asked as she hugged her.
"me fine' tu yahan kiya kar rahi hai aur baqi sab kahan hain?", Aishwarya asked as she tried to check whether Sia remembers her Birthday or not.
"baqi sab ko bhi aana tha kya??? Aur main yahan kya kar rahi hoon, tujhe yaad nahin aaj kiya din hai?", Sia rolled her eyes as she tried to act innocent.
"tujhe yaad hai kya hai aaj???" Aishwarya asked excitedly.
"main itni important baat bhool sakti hoon kya' tu bilkul pagal hai Aishu'", Sia said as she hit Aishwarya slightly on shoulder.
"mujhe laga tu bhool gayi' per tere siva aur kissi ko yaad nahin'", Aishwarya frowned.
"aur kissi ko kaise yaad ho sakta hai' main ne bataya hi nahin kissi ko'", Sia said.
"kissi ko nahin bataya' matlab???", Aishwarya was confused.
"yar aaj main apne chat friend se milne wali hoon' yeh baat sirf tu janti hai' I didn't tell others' you know naa they will make fun of me'", Sia explained.
"chat friend' tu iss barey mein baat kar rahi thi?" Aishwarya asked in a sad voice.
"tou aur kis bare mein baat karni hai?", Sia asked.
"kuch nahin'", Aishu sounded very low.
"acha now get ready fast' tu mere sath chal rahi hai'", Sia said as she held Aishwarya's hand and pulled her towards her room.
"main kyon jaon? I mean main wahan kya karoon gi?", Aishwarya asked.
"yar I am meeting him for the first time' akele jana theek nahin' tu plz saath chal naa'", Sia pleaded.
"but' main aise kaise chalon saath' it doesn't seem appropriate.", Aishwarya said.
"you are going and that's final' no more arguments'", Sia said and took her to her room.
Aishwarya wasn't feeling like going anywhere but she also didn't want to say no to her friend, so she started getting ready half heartedly. Sia released a sigh of content when Aishu left to get ready.
Just then Sia's cell phone rang. It was Suhana. She answered the call.
"Hey Sia' all set?", Suhana asked impatiently.
"ya all going good' tu bata sab arrangements ho gaye???", Sia asked her.
"come on Sia darling' Suhana jo kaam hath mein leti hai' woh hamesha perfectly finish ho jata hai'", Suhana replied.
"ok' then check'cake???", sia asked.
"Meeshi and Yaz on it' will be there at the right time'", Suhana replied.
"music?", Sia asked.
"humari very own DJ Aashifa and Fatima dear' I know they will arrange something mind blowing'", Suhana assured.
"aur baqi sab? I mean decorations' food and all?", Sia asked.
"woh bhi ek dum perfect hands main hai' meri jaan, meri behna' Kavya on it'", Suhana said.
"and the main surprise???", Sia sounded worried this time.
"woh tou pehle se hi set hai yar' sirf time pe venue pohnchana hai' aur woh Waqas handle kar raha hai' apna Mr. Punctual' uske barey mein don't worry at all'", Suhana said.
"ok cool' sab ho gaya hai' ab bas thori dair mein' laa rahi hoon main Aishu ko'", Sia said.
"oh crap!!!", suddenly Suhana said as she remembered something.
"kya hoa??" Sia asked worriedly.
"gifts' I forgot'", Suhana said.
"what!?!?! Suhana' how can you do this? Ab kya hoga?", Sia panicked.
Just then Sia heard the door being opened, Aishu was out of the changing room.
"I will call you back' better do something fast' Bubye'", Sia disconnected the call.
Suhana stood there all worried, scratching her head. Just then KAvya came and placed her head on Suhana's shoulder.
"me very tired'", KAvya said.
"and me very tensed'", Suhana replied.
"kyon kya hoa???". Kavya asked being a little worried.
"coz we forgot the gifts'", Suhana said.
"WHAT?!?!", Fatima and Ashifa asked simultaneously as they entered the scene.
"yeah' ab bohat kam time reh gaya hai' jo bhi karna hoga' we have to make it fast'", KAvya said.
"hmm' tou kya karein???", Fatima asked.
"aisa karte hain' main aur KAvya ja ke gifts le aate hain' tab tak tum dono yahan ka sambhalo'", Suhana said.
"kon kahan ja raha hai'", Meeshti asked as she and Yaz entered the hall with a big packet.
"tu cake le aayi???", Ashifa asked as she took the big packet from her.
"nahin cake nahin lai' iss packet mein joote lai hoon'", Yaz said as she rolled her eyes.
"per joote kyon layee??? Tum dono tou cake lene gaye the naa???", Fatima was confused.
"oho Fats' she is joking'", KAvya said in a irritated tone.
"mood kyon off lag raha hai sab ka? Aur koi kahin ja raha hai kya?", Meeshi asked.
"kyon ki humari great party planner' Suhana Ji' gifts arrange karna bhool gayein hain' now she and KAvya are leaving to get them'", Ashifa said.
"OMG!!! Suhana dear' kaise bhool gayi tu???", YAz asked.
"bas yar dimagh se nikal gaya' acha jaldi chal kavya nikalte hain' sunno girls tum log sab dekh lena aur time pe tayyar ho jana' hum abhi gaye aur abhi aaye'", Suhana said as she held Kavya's hand and both left.
On the other hand, Aishu got ready and left with Sia for the venue after a hour. KAvya and Suhana had managed the gifts and WAqas was also all ready with the big surprise.
Sia took Aishu to the hotel in which the party was arranged. She took her to the party hall.
"yeh tou party hall hai' yahan milne wali hai tu apne friend se?", Aishu asked.
"haan' woh kaha tou yahein tha'", Sia said as she was waiting for the green signal from the gang.
"per yeh hall tou band lagta hai' bilkul andhera hai'", Aishwarya said as she tried to peep in.
"haan' tu aisa kar ander ja' main abhi aayi!!!", Sia said, she just got a miss call from Waqas, indicating all is set.
"main kyon ander jaon? Tu kahan ja rahi hai?", Aishuu asked.
"plz tu jana' main abhi aayi'", Sia said as she pushed Aishu into the dark hall and left.
Sia met the gang at their decided place.
"phew' ander gayi' sab set hai naa???", she asked.
"hmm' all set'", Waqas replied.
"waqas' tum ne sab samjha diya tha naa usse????", Yaz asked.
"haan yar meri baat ho gayi thi' ab wohg kissi bhi time hall mein enter hone wala hoga' and then Aishu will get the surprise of her life time'", Waqas said smilingly.
Then they all stood there for about ten minutes and then waqas got a sms on his cell.
"guys' he is in' 10 minute baad humari entry hai'", he said as he read the sms.
All of them proceeded towards the hall.
Ashwarya was walking slowly as it was pitch dark, she wasn't able to see anything. Suddenly she heard someone's footsteps. She got a bit scared. After few seconds someone started speaking ad Aishu wondered why the voice was so familiar.
"ek larki thi diwani si'
Ek larke pe woh marti thi'
Nazrein jhuka ke'
Sharma ke'
Galiyon se guzarti thi'"
Aishu turned in the direction of voice but couldn't see clearly.
"chori chori'
Chupke chupke' chithian likha karti thi'
Kuch kehna tha shayad usko'
Jaane kisse darti thi'"
The guy had now reached much closer to Aishu and held her hand.
"jab bhi milti thi mujh se'
Mujhse pocha karti thi'
Pyaar kasie hota hai???
Yeh pyaar kaise hota hai'"
Just then lights were turned on and Aishu was stunned to see the guy standing infront of her eyes.
"aur main sirf yehi keh pata tha'"
Aishu was standing with her eyes open wide and mouth almost open. The handsome guy standing in front of her was smiling ear to ear.
"tum' tum' I mean Pr'"; Aishu tried to say something.
Just then the gang members appeared from the corners of the hall and screamed together "Happy Birthday".
Aishu kept her hand on her ears, she was still trying to grasp the happenings.
"kaisa laga surprise???", Suhana asked as she hugged Aishu.
"acha tou lage ga hi'", Meeshi said.
"akhir arrange kisne kiya hai???", Ashifa said.
"haan chehra dekha kaise khil raha hai'", Yaz added.
"aishu kuch bol naa'", Sia said.
"haan haan chup kyon hai???" Fatz asked.
"kuch bolne do ge tou bole gi naa'", KAvya said.
"OMG!! I can't believe it' kyat um sach mein aaye ho PREM???", Aishwarya exclaimed as she touched the hand of the handsome guy standing opposite her.
The gang laughed aloud and Prem smilingly assured her that he was there.
"au r woh sab jo tumne kaha??? I mean tum mujh se pehle kabhi nahin mille'", Asih was all astonished.
"arey MOhabbatein ke dialogues hain' main ne kaha tha Prem se bolne ko' surprise ho gayi na tum'", waqas said as he placed his arm across Prem's shoulders.
"per tum yahan aaye kaise'", Aishu asked Prem.
"because of your friends' agar yeh nahin hote tou main kabhi apni sab se bari fan se naa mill pata'", Prem replied.
"see yeh sub humara plan tha'", Yaz said as she hugged Aishu.
"chalo guys' time to cut the cake'", Meeshi said as she and Fatima pulled the trolley with cake placed on it.
Suhana handed Aishu the knife and she cut the cake.
Everyone sang the birthday song.
Aishu fed everybody the cake, obviously starting from Prem.
Then there was music, dance and masti. The party went on late night and at last everybody decided to disperse.
Meeshti and KAvya went together as they lived near. Waqas went taking Sia, Suhana and Fatima along. Ashifa and YAz also left. Prem said he would drop Aishu.
They were about to leave the hall when Prem held her hand. Aishu stopped and asked.
"kya hoa Prem??? Chalein???", she asked.
"emm' I want to say something'", Prem said as he scratched his head.
"yes' say naa'", Aishu said as she admired how cute Prem looked when he gave that confused expression.
"can we' I mean' tum' main' can we be together??", he asked.
And Aishu stood there all astonished with her eyes open wide.
And the day which was started on a bad note for Aishu, became the most memorable one for her. Thanks to all her friends, Aishu thought as she slowly nodded her head in affirmation.
