So, truth has the power to change our perception of the reality. However, reality does not have that power. Actual reality, untainted by our perceptions and biases, goes hand in hand with the truth. So, reality follows the truth where as truth has the power to stand alone and bring us closer to actual reality.
Hope it makes sense.
I see your point of view, but some points are still there:
First of all, I think that what I call as reality, you call it as actual reality. The problem is that there is no need to use the word actual with the reality itself. This is because if reality is the original, according to the article, then why should we say "actual original"? Actual original and original mean the same thing.
Regarding the question: if that power is the power to introduce us to the reality then that power is nothing, but perception, because perception introduces us to the reality. Thus, if truth includes perception then truth should be after our perception(objective perception)? Whereas, when reality is being called as the original then it should be before the perception.
But, if you meant that truth has the power to "expose " the reality then that would still mean that the reality is something that is "as it is" and truth just gives a meaning to it. This could be the difference that the article talks about.
In addition, words like "my reality", "his reality" etc look more like imagination and virtual reality rather than just the reality.
