Outside of Abhi and Simi episodes, I would like to see Simi stand up to her mother and tell her that she is sick and tired of her pushing her to get married. I want her to say that if she does not find someone, so what, does that mean she must marry the next loser that walks around the corner?
I'd even like for her to tell her mother that her daughter has to sleep with the guy after she marries him (a taboo subject that people never face), people don't turn on feelings of that nature with a perfect stranger (although women are expected to do this time and time again in India during arranged marriages). There has to be some attraction.
Remember Simi was not in the least bit attracted to RB. There was nothing attractive about RB, but Manju was so blinded by the idea that Simi was getting married she didn't look to see that Yikes, my daughter is marrying a troll.😲ðŸ˜
I would love to have Simi tell her mother that she could not fathom the idea of RB touching her and that she went through all of this for her, Anuj and her father. I want to her say she is going to marry the person she loves and if that person does not come into her life, so be it, she will stay single. I also want her to add, she does not have to live with Anuj, she can live by herself and she can't believe that her brother and sister wouldn't be available to help her out if she needed to have someone take her to the hospital or help her out as needed. If their spouses minded, it does not say much about their spouses.
I would like her to add, she does not give a toss what the neighbors think. Those neighbors don't pay the bills, they don't come her when she needs help, so why would she care what they think. She lives her life for her, not them. If she spent her life making them happy, she would be miserable, because nothing will ever make them happy.
Then I'd like for her to say, that she is not fat and that someone actually finds her beautiful and he wants to marry her and if she doesn't agree so be it, she's going to marry him.
And after she's exploded, I would love to see Manju's reaction. At this point I hope she is speechless!!
Of course for her to get to that point, Abhi is going to have to do a lot of work as our Simi still believes that since she is 30 she must take an available rishta she can get. It's only when Manju leaves Simi alone will the Abhi and Simi relationship develop naturally. Simi will not be under pressure to marry and she will be free to relax and enjoy her time with Abhi.
