Guys I think its Sameer visualizing what would happen if he did this. This is possible because we see him quiet and looking away, thoughts going through his head a mile a minute. So he could just be going through options in his head. And Avni will rouse him from this reverie by touching his arm or something and saying "Jai?" Then, faced with the decision of which path to take, he will step up and accept Avni's claim. I so hope that is what happens!
