There's a post here containing links which look as though they'll direct you to youtube - but they may actually infect your computer with thefeedwater.com virus. Please be careful. I don't even dare to post in that thread because I accidentally clicked thefeedwater link while typing a similar message there. The thread's called 12/24 Karol Bagh (youtube Video Links).
Please guard your computer - such viruses are horribly difficult to remove, and I registered here just to caution everyone.
Nice forum by the way, I love the topics here. I only wish the malicious links could be removed from threads like the abovementioned one, so that forum readers and participants would be safe.

Thenk you for sharing; as a few of you may note, I have experienced serious and costly problems with my computer following a visit to one site. A worm prevents me from using my operating system and now I have 400 viruses on my computer. Some members are posting to sites that a full of viruses and worms from computers that are full of viruses. Many are not aware of this matter. The recent youtube video site was safe for me to use, so I am not sure which one you are referring too.

Please let us know, what did you do when it happened?

Thank you
Laila

No, this is a completely different virus problem and related to a different set of links. Fortunately, I don't see it on my computer as it causes people to go to the website with feed water in it each time you click on a link. That's very different from a worm. I think if anyone gets this problem, it would be helpful to have this section open so we can find a solution. Don't you think?

When I hovered my mouse over the links, I saw thefeedwater.com/...(something)...(youtube...something) on the status bar. I was going to post in that thread itself to alert readers when I accidentally clicked one of the links. Within a few seconds Data Execution Prevention leapt in and shut down Internet Explorer. Apparently, the site that the link led to was trying to execute some code on my system without my permission (or something like that, I don't remember the exact message).
By the way, when I went directly to youtube.com I could access the uploaded videos without difficulty. Only the links in that particular post were problematic.
(Also ... *blush* ... sorry for my ignorance but I don't really know the subtle and not-so-subtle differences between viruses, worms and malware. I should do some research!)
