Radhika as Radha or Meera?

Yesterday, Shastriji told his mother that people see either Radha or Meera in Raadhika. She does potray some of the characteristics, but she lacks their courage and commitment towards just causes.

She is definately very devotional both towards Dev and Kanha. She has potrayed some of the fearlessness few times such as putting sindoor, following rituals, stopping Amma and Devki in getting her married to someone else and initially forcing Devki to let her stay in Dev's house (after phool bangla incident). She also loves Dev very much, but unlike Meera and Radha, she has not shown in actions (where it matters most - excluding putting hot bangles from the fire) that Dev comes first for her. Radha and Meera were fearless. They never cared for anybody's opinions. For Radha, Kanha always came first and she would continue to meet him even if forbidden by her family. Meera did not even care for her Rajput inlaws when it came to her devotion to kanha. She left home in those conservative times (when women were supposed to be veiled from head to toe) and fought with Rana, her brother-in-law for her rights.

Along with Shastriji, Dev and Daadi loves her the most, but unlike Shastriji they are willing to fight with the society for her rights. It may be because they are quite influential in both their family and society. So far, Radhika has not been able to return that devotion because of Amma, Vishaka and to some extent Devki. However, now that she has been accepted socially and is about to get married to Dev, it is her duty to make Dev and Daadi's wishes her priority. She does not need to win Amma's approval. She is an ungrateful witch who forgot that Radhika saved her son's life. She is getting genuine grandmother love from Daadi. Why not return it back ? Also, Kanha never asked Arjun to make peace or win Dhritrastra's approval. He knew that Duryodhan and Dhritrastra will never be satisfied until Pandavas are finished. So, he tried to avert the war in the beginning (comprising with Kauravs on the property), but then asked Arjun to fight for his rights. The creatives should show Radhika doing the same. She has tried to make peace with Amma. Now, after the Mehndi incident, she should realize that this woman will never change. So, she should give up on her and not let her snatch her rights going forward.

So my hopes for her going forward:

1. It seems that they are moving towards Vivaah track from April Sunrise and telly chakkar's article. First of all, I hope that they don't show Radhika burning because she tried to save Vishaka or Amma. Maybe, it would be a combination of Vishaka and Mrinalini that would try to hurt Radhika.

2. Hopefully, her injuries are not too terrible. Dev marries her the same day and brings her back to PB.

3. Of course, Vishaka will try to take her rights. Even if she has given Vachan to Daadi, she should never let Vishaka bear Vaaris because I believe this is what Vishaka wants. She wants to control the money.

4. She should be honest with Dev and not compel him to do any thing such as having relations with Vishaka, letting Vishaka stay in PB etc.

5. If she is unable to have a child, she and Dev can always adopt or hire a surrogate which is now quite prevalent in India. The surrogate should be a professional woman from a professional hospital rather than somebody like Vishaka. Actually, if they adopt that would be better. Then, Radhika can show that adopted kids are as precious as your own kids. They can always show that Radhika adopted a child and after some medical treatment, she was able to have her own child.

6. Please show Radhika and Dev having an open relationship from now on. Don't show that Radhika is always lying to Dev for somebody or other. If her marriage is acknowledged publicly, she should now change her loyalties towards Dev and not towards worthless people like Mrin, Vishaka, Amma or even Devki (if Devki starts flip flopping again).

Sorry, if it was too confusing and muddled. I did not organize my thoughts properly while writing on this topic. I really like this show and similar to other viewers on IF, would like them to continue with the underlying theme without any typical serial plotlines.

i can see dev fighting for that ... hopefully rads will do the same
