Vikram Bhatt: Real inspiration

The Bhatt camp has always been associated with announcing movies based on incidents in the news. While Mahesh Bhatt made Arth and Zakhm, Vikram Bhatt will continue the trend by making a film on the South African model who got raped in a hotel in Mumbai recently. The filmmaker seems to have been greatly disturbed by this gruesome incident that took place and has decided to portray the life of the victim after this. "I want to question the issue of how women who dress up in a particular fashion make themselves vulnerable for rape", says Bhatt. But here, Vikram has decided to take up direction for this movie. Produced by Ramesh Sippy, he plans to begin the shooting by mid 2006. As for the actors for the film, Bhatt is on lookout for the lead actress who would agree to play such a role and is thinking of casting Nana Patekar as the lawyer for the film. Before that, he has to finish off one more project in March and April, that deals with the issue of friendship and happiness.
