Loll...last night's implied kiss and the Sajan almost kiss in the precap....made me want to ask this: Are there any in this forum who are all for kissing to be shown on indian TV.

They show kisses nowadays in the movies.

Am all for it....as I feel its high time we stopped editing out the kisses. Well, it is still a great development from the birds and the bees of the 60s 😆😆😆....but if they can shoot it aesthetically and really cutely (like JWM) it would be really nice and cute.

As for vulgarity...I believe it is a challenge to the directors...how they shoot it and wish to portray it.

I think it is time....it is better than to show implied scenes which can imply different things to different viewers.
Like what happened in yday's episode....the implied scene made people think so much more than what the creatives wanted to imply. 😆😆😆

What do you all think?

Can we have this shifted to the Debate forum please.

Yes, its hard to shoot a kiss scene or a sexual scene. Also depends on how comfortable the actors are with each other too. I feel that kissing is just a very cheap thrill. Have it once a while, but not always ! If couples keep kissing, it becomes more infatuation and obsession and craving for pleasure.
Not LOVE, if they want to potray . Cuz major emotions and bondings in love are neglected there.

No thank you.
If people want kissing check out Hollywood and Emran Hashmi movies.
Kissing is not vulgar if done correctly but it still isnt something I want to see on Indian/Pakistani TV. I watch these programmes with my family, how embarrassing would it be to watch that with your brother and father sitting there?
Of course if people have no shame they can do what they please.
I might edit this post more later on.

Lol...its a difference of opinion. I wouldn't mind...and no kissing is not vulgar at all....and it is something people eventually indulge in...so I wonder why should they be "ashamed"????

Watching it with your family...and being embarrassed...it depends on the comfort level you have with your family...I am quite comfortable.

And please do NOT bring up Emraan Hasmi. I was going to include a note saying "No Emraan Hashmi here please" 😆😆😆 because you cannot comment using his example as he doesn't even know the basic art of kissing on camera. 🥱

Moving to debate forum....well that's the DT's decision...but I sort of wanted to discuss it in the context of MJHT as well.

Well, I think it is something every couple does at some point or the other....and yes even the Indian couples...so for me showing all this implied stuff takes away from the realism of a scene...it makes it unreal..wth all the birds and the bees and I always value realistic portrayals of anything.

Well, kissing is a cheap thrill if you see it from the POV of all those indulging in PDA in full view. But kissing is basically, one of the essential ways of showing your love. Care, compassion, understanding, empathy, companionship, conversation, bonding and all the emotional stuff IS also a part of love.
Simply, kissing is another part of it. It is necessary as it also affects the comfort level you have...it is a step in your love.

Also, another point is, when you are watching shws like MJHT with your family, such a scene which implies a kiss and other stuff is likely to cause you enough embarrassment as well.....esp yday's MN kiss and in the precap SG's kiss.....it sort of made it clear to all what they wanted to show...

😆 Ive seen kissing before in movies (Hollywood and Disney😆) and in American and British programmes but it isnt something I want to see in Indian/Pakistani dramas. It is all about difference of opinion👍🏼 For me personally its probably more to do with religion than anything. Kissing is private, something that should be reserved only between Husband and Wife when they are alone. I am perfectly comfortable with my family, we are all very open but I still cover my head and wear a dupatta when my father comes in!😆 More respect than anything I guess😃
Plus I think kissing just looks weird on Indian/Pakistani TV/Movies I think Hollywood do it better😃😆
And you're right Emraan Hashmi is just an embarrassment to any intimate Scene ever invented🤢 So okay we wont mention him😆

As much as I am all for seeing an actual kiss on TV , aesthetically done like the JWM one as you pointed out , I believe our makers (especially the TV ones) are not so artistic to present a kiss so well. Besides it took Bollywood also eons to open up about showing a kiss n make it look aesthetic or at least not cheap or perverted on screen, so TV needs even more time than that. I think before moving to stages like showing a Kiss , TV show makers (especially the youth show ones) should consider starting out on making sensible shows with good story lines, strong scripts n maintaining character consistency in the long run first, instead of finding the next bollywood movie to rip off. Also, a kiss, no matter how aesthetically done still remains pointless when its not a demand of the script or does not go with the characters coz then the purpose of it (which marks an increase in comfort level between couples like you said) gets dissolved. The JWM kiss for example was a demand of the story n completely goes with the characters - I mean I can totally get why Geet kissed Aditya whereas I still don't get why MN had to "kiss" or become randomly "passionate" yesterday.

Yes, it does show love. No doubt about it!
But the way they implemented in MJHT is utterly creepy. They way they projected it out etc .Not intending any offense to the actors, of course they have done a good job.
