Why do you think you watch this serial?

Is it true that general trend of human psycholoy is that we like, love too see people suffer....are in misery or having bad time on and on and on????? Does it gives us some kind of pleasure in some unconcious way???????? Why in every serial the leading girl is always in trouble? How come not a single serial shows a girls rising, her ups, her growth, her happyness or anything like that?? And, how come day afer day, night after night, year after year we watch these girls in their miserable condition?? Do we like it someway? Do we somehow relate to thse girls someway that keeps us glued to the TV?? Do we still want to see girls n such helpless condition?????
