Hey guys!😳 It's my first PreMeer shot in a very very VERY long time😳 It started out as something completely different but then I was like meh 😛 It'll work with Premeer too! 😃 Also I give FULL credit to the writer/director of Aladin, because I've basically done a scene from that movie with this one shot! 😃😳 Enjoy!

"Leave it Meher," Heer rolled her eyes and sat down near the closed window seat.

Meher rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Why are you upset? So he didn't come once?"

"You're just saying it because he's Preet's brother." Heer turned the other way.

"Heer!" Meher scoffed. "I'm not THAT bad. Besides Preet told me he wanted to come to the party tonight."

"But he didn't." Heer retorted. "If he really cared, he never would've gone to New York the day before my birthday. Leave it; I don't care about him anymore."

"Of course you don't." Meher sighed and sat down on the window seat. "Doesn't it get old?"

Heer narrowed her eyes at Meher. "What?"

"This whole, 'I love Prem, but he's just my friend so I can't say anything.' Even though you end up being so upset with him when he does something wrong."

"He is my friend." Heer said through gritted teeth.

"I'm sure," Meher rolled her eyes before looking down at her cell phone. Giving Heer a smile she turned to the door. "If I got for a bit, will you be okay? I know it's wrong to leave you alone on your birthday but it's important,"

Heer shrugged. "Makes no difference to me,"

"Okay awesome!" Meher quickly left Heer's hostel room.

Heer sighed before her eyes landed on a picture frame. She stretched her arm and picked it up.

She could still remember the emotions rushing through her when he put his arm around her and they both smiled brightly for the picture.

Suddenly she heard a scratch and jumped up from the window. "What was that?" she muttered to herself before inching closer to the window.

She listened quietly and finally shook her head realizing it was all in her head.

She was about to sit again when the sound came. Frustrated she threw open the window ready to chuck the frame at whoever was underneath the window.

He bent down to pick up another rock to throw before he dropped it. He was beneath all this. God knows why he had listened to his little brother when he asked for help.

Right.

He listened because he asked his brother for help.

He shook his head before straightening himself and turning around to leave.

"Prem!"

He turned around and glanced up to see her glaring down at him with something square in her hand.

"You came,"

The disbelief in her voice stung his heart but he knew he deserved it.

"I had to,"

Heer shook her head before seeing Prem's eyes narrow at the picture frame in her hand.

"Why's it in your hand?"

"I--" she cringed before dropping it and smiling. "Never mind."

"How'd you spend the day?" He smiled.

"Why do you even care?" Heer glanced down at her watch. "It's like 1am, go home Prem."

"I have something to say first,"

"To bolo bhi!" Meher grinned as she appeared next to Heer.

"When'd you get in?" Heer smiled.

"I just had to go meet someone for five minutes," Meher grinned. "Besides I need to know how he's planning on humiliating himself." She whispered the last bit to Heer who giggled.

At least she's smiling Prem sighed. "If either of you laugh,"

"Then?" Meher challenged.

"I'll get you."

"I'm sure," Meher smirked before raising her eyebrow. "Go on then,"

Heer's eyes went wide as she saw Prem waltz around in the compound in front of her.

"What is he?" She gasped.

"Shush!" Meher grinned. "This is amusing."

"Something you shouldn't be around to watch," Preet rolled his eyes from the doorway. "Let's go Meher."

"But Preet!" Meher pouted.

"Let them have their moment," Preet smirked. "We'll have ours too,"

"Too much information Preet," Heer plugged her ears and turned her head back to the window where Prem was standing looking nervous.

She smiled and he sighed. "You're sure?"

"I'm positive. Go on Prem." Heer smiled as she watched him clear his throat.

Heer's mouth fell open as Prem said the last line. Her forehead creased in confusion but seeing the brightness on his face she knew this moment was true.

Heer rolled her eyes when Prem gestured for her to join him down in the compound. He insisted and finally she sighed before nodding and rushing out of her room.

"Why are you doing this?" She asked as he took her hand in his and pulled her close.

She gasped as she felt his warm breath tickle her ear. "It's my girl's birthday."

"When did I become your girl?" she grinned as he spun her out and pulled her back in.

"Since the day we met."

"You sound confident," She smiled as he took hold of her hand and danced.

"I am," He winked at before singing.

"What changed Prem? Between our friendship?" Heer asked as she rested her head on his shoulder.

"You."

Heer looked up and frowned. "I changed?"

Prem shook his head and smiled. "You helped changed our friendship into what it really is."

"What is it really?" Her eyes filled with hope as he looked down into them.

"Pyar?" Heer tilted her head and waited.

"Pyar," He smiled and kissed her cheek. "Happy Birthday,"

Heer smiled and slipped her arms around his neck. "Thank you--for both."

"Both?"

Heer nodded. "Meher gave me the necklace this morning."

Prem looked down at her neck and sure enough she was wearing the key pendent he had specially picked out of her and given to Meher.

"It suits you." He smiled.

"Does it mean what I think it means?" she grinned.

"Are you thinking the clichd meaning?" Prem raised his eyebrow.

Heer sighed and released her hold around him. "Sorry, I...got ahead of myself."

She turned to walk back up when he took her hand and stopped her.

"It's true,"

"What is??"

"What you're thinking."

"How do you know what I'm thinking Prem?" Heer sighed. "Mind reader ban gaaye ho meri yaad mein?"

"You wish." Prem smirked.

"Anyways what was I thinking?"

Prem smiled before light grazing the pendent. "It is the key to my heart,"

Heer's cheeks flamed and she looked down at her bare feet.

Suddenly whistles were coming from above and they both arched up to see Meher and Preet watching them with wide smiles on their faces.

"So how was the surprise?" Preet grinned at Heer.

"It was nice thank you Preet. Ab jao." Prem glared.

"Kyun bhaiyya? Main to sirf bhabhi ko ched raha tha," Preet smirked with Meher grinning next to him.

"Preet tu!" Prem threatened as Heer's cheeks turned brighter.

"Kya?" Preet mocked before he and Meher disappeared.

"Sorry woh," Prem said softly.

"It's okay," Heer shrugged. "I'm used to Preet."

Prem nodded. "Another reason I want this to work," He took her hand in his and kissed the back of it. "tu jo taare mangle, toh woh bhi thod launga, thod launga, kehke toh dekho na, karta rahunga main pyaar,"

Heer shook her head. "Main taare nahin maungungi."

"Kyun?" Prem frowned.

"I have you." She smiled. "Aur kuch nahin chaiyye."

"Pagal," He leaned his forehead against hers and smiled.
