Brief update Oct 29

Since there was no update so far, I'm posting this:

• Sushma slams the photo of herself and Brij against the mirror and breaks it, and destroys the photo using the glass shrapnel, cutting her hands in the process
• Everyone in the room hears that, but note that Uday can't be allowed to see Sushma. So everybody makes up a cock and bull story about a cricket ball hitting their windows (despite the fact that they have grates and wooden windows, not glass), and it's no big deal. Padma and Jyoti both tell Sudha to prepare tea for Uday, and she goes ahead and serves him
  
• Padma goes into the room and tries bringing Sushma under control, bandaging her hand
• Uday asks Sudha whether she shouldn't be at work. Sudha is grasping for a reason, and then on being prompted by Sandeep, indicates that she was about to. Uday asks her to come with him since their workplaces are nearby. KK and Dadi all urge Sudha to go with him. Sudha changes, and then accompanies Uday out of the room, looking at Jyoti puzzled/disappointed
• Jyoti, who's watching all this embarrassed, breaks down, and everybody gathers around her. She is disgusted by the fact that all her in-laws are so nice to her, and yet, she's been lying to them and can't tell them that Sushma is her sister. She tells them that she can't carry this burden anymore and has to confess to her in-laws
• KK urges her against it, telling her that if she tells them that, they'll wonder what else she's been hiding/lying about. 😕😕😕 He tells her that everyone in the family had tried to prevent Sushma's marriage but failed, and so that was part of her fate
• Sushma, who's overhearing all this, recalls how she's abused Jyoti in the past. She decides that having ruined her own marriage, she couldn't go ahead and ruin Jyoti's. While everybody is focussed on Jyoti, Sushma quietly slips out of the house and heads to an abortion clinic
• Uday tells Sudha that they'd stop at a cafe, which is pretty good. Sudha protests that as a new employee, she shouldn't be late, but Uday points out that they have enough time. Uday steps out of the car to go to the cafe, and Sushma walks past the car
• Sudha sees Sushma walking past her to an abortion clinic, and is instantly worried. Uday comes and tells her that she needs to come out, as they won't serve her in the car
  
• At the table, Sudha is constantly looking Sushma's direction, and Uday asks her why. She tells him that she needed to talk to Jyoti, and Uday gives her his phone
• Sudha is still hesitant, since she can't talk about Sushma in front of Uday. So she tells him that she has a headache and wanted to go out and get some meds, and Uday tells her to let him go. Sudha then asks the waiter and goes to a phone booth, and calls Jyoti, and tells her where Sushma is. Jyoti tells her to be right there 😕😕😕
• Uday comes back, but Sudha's attention is still divided b/w Uday and Sushma
• Inside, Sushma tells the doc that she wants an abortion, and the doc tells her that it's high risk, since she's already 3 months pregnant. She also tells her that she'll need a deposit of Rs10k. Sushma offers her all her jewellery - earrings and necklace. The doc declines, saying she's never dealt with such payments before, but Sushma tells her that she's poor and that's all she has, and she won't be needing it.
• Jyoti and Sandeep arrive at the hospital and inquire, and try breaking in. The receptionist tells them that there's an abortion going on there, and Jyoti demands to know whether they have consent forms on that from anyone in her family, given how high risk that is
• In the operation room, they're about to start, when Jyoti and Deepu break in and stop them. The doc tells Jyoti, in response to her angry demands, that she did warn Sushma about that, and that Jyoti could take her away if she wanted, and returns the jewels to Jyoti
• Sushma protests that she wants to kill that fruit of sin, and Jyoti points out to her that she was willing to clean shoes to ensure that kid a future. Finally, Deepu yells at her, and Sushma goes in to change back to her clothes.

Episode ends.

its not sushma's fault if she wants to abort the kid...she can never forget her past cuz of the baby.
and i dont understand why kk is giving such a lame advice to jyoti..its not possible dt pankaj would never know abt sushma so why not confront him now? it will create more probs if the family will get to know dis from brij which is ofcourse a possibility..

when brij was thrashing sushma, she said she is only 1 month pregnant. now jyoti says she is 3 months pregnant????

Maybe she was in the hospital for 2 months, since her condition was life threatening. So that by the time she was out, her pregnancy was 3 months.

At any rate, I thought that only 2nd and 3rd trimester abortions were dangerous, whereas she's just borderline between 1st and 2nd. In India, unlike in US, 2nd and 3rd trimester abortions are illegal, so if Sushma had been past that, she'd not gave got it. So why was Jyoti ranting so much about the clinic putting profit above the patient's life? She assumes that the clinic was being unethical, while that darling sister of hers is a pure angel? Why not yell at Sushma for going for a 3rd month abortion with that same vigor?
