Yea I know one lady who used to live in my street. She was same as my Grandmother. She had 1 son and two daughter (both married but died at very young age) So she used to live with her son. but har DIL did not like it so some how they told her to leave the house so she came and started live on my street. Her son's house was 1 block away from where we lived. So she was living by herself we used help her by money or by food and if she needs to get something from market. One day she found out she has Cancer and still her son did not care and never came to her just to sit with her and talk with her. We had to move to other country and few days before we were going to leave my house she commited suside and died.
i really felt so sorry for her. I mean we helped her all we can but after all she was mother and wanted to live with her son and grand Childrens.
I belong to the medical profession, i have personally seen three couples(patients) in the last 6 mnths, who have not been just cheated, but have actually been deserted and thrown out of their own house and now these people are struggling hard to live with some dignity............harsh reality of todays world.
you know friends..
i think parents are responsible for this. for example 80% parents are 20% kids... i will explain to you with my personal experience.. i lost my father when i was 12 yrs old. i have one sister and one brother. my mother was housewife my father was Assistant Sub Inspector of police...you know our govt. matters take long time for a file to get approved so my mother started getting the pension only after one year of my father's death.. till that time was the most difficult time in our life... but we over come it.. coz from my childhood my mother always teach us the difficulties of life not about the luxuries... when we spoil food she will beat us badly so we know the value of food and money.. very well...
People are so busy in their own lives, working hard and trying to attain the good life that parents tend to be forgotten. The parents and the children could even be living in the same house and yet, there may be lack of communication. One of the saddest things that affect old people is loneliness. It doesn't cost us much to spend a little bit of time, talking to our parents and grandparents. Afterall, we never know how much of time we have left with them.
